Ahh boo hoo his family wants to stay in London. The drogs family did while he was in China and Turkey.

This move, if it happens, shows no sporting ambition. He could go be a champion in Italy, Spain, Germany or France but wants to stay in a league he has won it all in already but to do so at a hated rival.

How about going to spurs, West ham or the like? We do not like them either but it would be better.

Is not a case Czech has done so much for us and we nothing for him. We supported him through a life threatening injury, paid him a good wage and helped him win many medals.

Him going to arsenal for a peanuts sum, is the club screwing itself for nothing.

If this abomination is to happen we should get a player Jose wants in return, or a fee over 20mill.

Depends what is most important here right. Is it the sporting ambition, if so there are several linked top European sides he can go to.

Is it staying in London. If so there are other sides in London.

Is it having your cake and tossing the left overs in the faces of the fans who have supported you for 10 years. Then that would be arsenal.

Just to examine the 'he has no ambition'comment, were you throwing that at him when he was sat on our bench this season having been usurped by Courtois? No?

As for the he could be champion in these countries, let's see. Barcelona have two keepers whilst real Madrid are signing De Gea so which team are you talking about? Forget that one. Italy. Which team are you talking about here? Juventus? Don't they have Buffon? Ok, Germany then. Are Bayern going to sign him to replace Neuer? Would he even replace Reina? France is possible. He could go to PSG and he'd walk the league. Is that ambition though? Is it more ambitious than joining Arsenal? I'm not sure.

He's not throwing two fingers up at the support any more than he did when he acted like a complete gentleman all season having been replaced by Courtois. Some people need to relax and have faith in their own team.

By the way, cruticising him for lacking a few ambition and then saying he should go to Spurs really was funny.

No I was not then. Ironic as it seems now but back then I was praising his loyalty.

Petr is a better keeper than anyone barca have or real have/may have. Your point about bayern and juve is fair, never know though, someone other than those two may win those leagues in the next 5 years. We thought lyon would never stop winning the French league.

Although, in all seriousness, credit to you and others here who do not let your affection for Chelsea football club result in these hurt feelings and tribalism.

Cech to be is a big part of this club so I have affection for him too. I understand the reasons for him going to Arsenal but I also recognise that he'd probably prefer to stay here as number one. We replaced him though and long term we're in a stronger position for it.

It would be lovely if he lacked ambition because he'd be content to sit on the bench, but that's not him. If it were we wouldn't have had the best keeper in the world for the most of the last decade.

We're paying the price for Courtois becoming world class too quickly.I choose to focus on that.

I'd actually rather we let his contract run out than let him go to Arsenal they will get a year less of the big man.

Agreed, I love Cech, he's been our best ever keeper (at least in my lifetime) but the fact is this the club comes first. It has to, we want to be as successful as possible strengthening direct rivals in an area that is vital for them could be a major blow next season. Cech could quite possibly get them 9-12 extra points a season.

Jose's English can be a little obscure sometimes. I assume it means if they won't give us something (someone) we want, we won't play ball.

I'd be all for Sanchez but I don't think that will happen so possible Walcott or even Ramsey

I'd love Sanchez but won't happen, first choice would be Cech doesn't move to Arsenal but failing that one of Walcott or Ramsey would be nice

Ox or Wilshere for me. Someone young who can be moulded by Jose and our medical staff.

Not too sure about the 'keep him to his contract' stuff especially considering the level of decorum he acted with last season. I imagine that's part of the reason the club is treating him so respectfully. They don't simply view him as a number of points for a rival but as a friend, a valued colleague and ultimately, a legend.

I am fully expecting a Sky Sources headline Monday to say something along the lines of 'Peter Cech tells Chelsea he wants to leave the club' which we already know of course so I don't think anything will be clearer on Monday. I just hope if he does go to Arsenal we make them wait until the windows nearly closed, draw it out get as much money as possible and ensure he's not in their squad for pre season and the opening games of the season.

Exactly, they wanted something in return then or wouldn't sell and we do now. Hope to god we stick to our guns (no pun intended).
