Petr Cech to Arsenal

Nice to see people aren't writing Walcott off despite him suffering an ACL injury in January 2014.

Bit of a different situation to Falcao though who with a season has looked off the pace. Walcott's come back and it's took a little time but he looks as quick as ever and recent form has shown a flurry of goals.

Spot on.

Falcao has been poor for 16 months or more, it's nothing like Walcott....who by the way isn't pushing 30

Walcott has come back into a team he's been playing with for 9 years and scored in one league match. A hat-trick is impressive but still, it's one game.

In fact his injury was probably far worse regardless of age. But this isn't likely to be an informative discussion so I'll bow out unless anyone else thinks it's a worthy topic.

I like Walcott but I think he's another player of similar calibre to Willian, Salah and Cuadrado. If we got him he'd be the third attempt as an upgrade for Willian and in my opinion the third player who fails to displace him.

Douglas Costa it is then.

Or Oxlade-Chamberlain. Still only 21.

He also scored in the FA Cup final so it's not just one match. Also when has Falcao even looked like getting two goals let alone a hattrick? It's clear to me that Walcott has recovered from his injury and not lost his pace. Falcao has come back from his injury and lost his pace and predatory instincts.

Edit: also Chelsebear is right, age is a factor here also, Falcao is pushing 30 whereas Walcott is 26

And actually I don't want Walcott but I'd take him over Falcao

No just me fantasising about pulling an Ashley Cole on the Arse again.

You dirty dirty man....

Hope so.

I can't see them selling Walcott since he seems to be back in the picture and the player himself saying he can't wait to get going for them next season.

The Ox I'm not sure on, is he getting much game time and would he be an improvement on Willian?

I don't think Walcott wants to leave either.

Ox I would have if he didn't have so many injury problems.

I can see him being more 'sellable' for Arsenal than Walcott.

Walcott probably thinks he has something to prove and wants to repay them because he was injured for so long.

Then again I never thought we would get Ash!

Sanchez hopefully realises sooner rather than later that Arsenal are merely the token runners up to things that matter.

Deserves to play at a club who will challenge at the very top....meaning us of course!

Oxlade-Chamberlain is a great player aswell. Can cover anywhere but DM in midfield.

Has great physicality and workrate.

For all the talk of Wenger and youth players, I'd love to see players like Chambers, Ox and Wilshere develop under Jose.

Why are we talking about players that cannot always get in their team but might improve our team? Would rather buy a player from elsewhere that can get in the team and make Willian et al fight for the other places and/or be very good squad players. OR possibly let our youth take the squad places and get them ready for the first team over the next 12 months.
