People say that Cech could play up to the age of 40, but is that likely? It's the exception rather than the rule and there were those rumblings about his back and knee problems a few years ago. Plus I thought his form in his last full season was the shakiest it had ever been.

I would argue that when it comes to keepers of World Class ability, like Cech, that playing till 40, give or take a few years on either side, is actually more the norm than the exception. If you look at say Buffon or Van Der Sar, I'd say some of their best seasons were in their mid thirties.

From what I can gather Mourinho isn't among those happy for him to go to Arsenal.

I don't remember Cech said anything about his future so far, if he decide to move to another EPL club for family reason, so be it. However, I doubt he will do it, he's been a classy player and gentlemen. 

I think the fact we're set to have talks with him shows that the rumour if him moving to Arsenal have been pure media talk. No decisions been made yet and I doubt he's been in talks with anyone else yet.

Yeah its a case of the media putting 2 and 2 together as Pete is possibly moving on and they are in need of an upgrade in goal.

Of course it might but the media are making out its a formality when it's not.

I like the way he is talking on this subject, he clearly feels it would be a mistake.

Walcott is extremely one dimensional. He's just all pace, we need more intricate players that can hold the ball and aren't afraid of doing something when the opposition sit back.

Can't see them letting Walcott go so easily, didn't he sign a new contract recently? Chamberlain would be good and I think he would suit us better anyway.

I'd definitely take Wallcott. He would provide directness to our attack.

He's fishing for a new contract and supposedly assurances over where he'll play.

Walcott gets goals and that's what's missing from our midfield right now, we was quite reliant on the defence getting a fair share of goals this season.

I don't think it will happen but wouldn't turn my nose up to it if it did.

I'd say a bit of pace and directness is exactly what we're missing. Willian, Oscar and sometimes even Hazard are often guilty of over playing, slowing things down too much.

Having a Walcott style player who is going to use their pace, be direct would improve us in my opinion. Walcott has a goal or assist for Arsenal every 2 games, he's very effective in my eyes.

Wallcott and Cech swap deal is very much possible if Cech has made his mind going to Arsenal. Mourinho loves playing hardball with Arsenal.

There is no way Mourinho would allow Cech to go to Arsenal so easily. Plus I think Mourinho rates Wallcott.
