Radamel "the project" Falcao

It's a one year loan and we still have costa and remy so I don't really understand all the moaning. We have nothing to lose really. if he bangs in about 10 goals I'd be happy.

If Diego is fit and firing and Remy does not get any minutes. I don't mind, it just simply means hes not good enough. It's the same will Falcao. Though if Falcao is fit and firing and somehow gets his mojo back and gets ahead of Diego. Then I simply don't mind either, Jose will pick the right striker for the right moment.

You need options though and Remy has proven himself as a great option to have. We are concerned that Falcao will get more minutes than he actually should in the same way that Torres did when Sturridge should have been playing.

Again it's not really moaning it's concern, a. That he's past it and b. That he'll take away minutes from Remy who deserves more minutes.

Nothing to loose? I'll argue that Traore is a better third choice striker then Falcao, we will be loosing his potential value increase, wich could be significant if he scored some goals.

Yeah shove a young striker on the bench for the season, that'll rocket his development and value.

You do need options and you give minutes to the best option you have at the correct moment. Remy, Falcao and Costa will offer different things in different situations. It shouldn't be a concern if Falcao gets more minutes than Remy. It will be a concern if Falcao is getting more minutes than Remy if he is not performing to the standard the manager requires but it would also show a lack of confidence from Jose in Remy. I trust the manager so whoever he puts out in the starting 11 on the day he has my backing because he's a proven winner and he knows what he is doing.

Well if you look at just the league last season: Costa had 2069 min, Drogba 916 min and Remy 694 min. Remys price went up and we could earn £5mil+, if we sold him now. Imagin how much the price for a young Traore will rise with the same amount of minutes.

This seems such a backwards purchase, we should have carried on with Costa and Remy as 1 and 2, and bring in Traore or Bamford as 3rd choice. We could increase the price of the youngsters whilst keeping Remy happy. Buying Falcao f**ks everything up and after paying all his wages he will not be a Chelsea player come the end of the season so all the money is wasted.

I understand what you're saying but my point is if Falcao gets more minutes from the off than Remy that is unfair given how well Remy played last season when called upon. Remy in my opinion deserves to be ahead in the pecking order as it stands now.

I see it as Costa being the main man and Remy/Falcao fighting for his spot and not an order of 1, 2 and 3. Whoever impresses in training and does the job that Jose wants then they will get ahead of the other if Costa can't play.

Firstly Remy is not the same age as Traore meaning first team minutes aren't as imperative to his development; secondly we got Remy cheaply because of a buy-out clause in his QPR contract - as we have yet to sell him how can you make a determination on the trajectory of his valuation over the past season?

Let's hope our third duff signing of a world class striker doesn't end up like the last two....wish him well but unless Remy leaves I can't see him getting much game time unless its cup games or Costa gets a long term injury.

I hope you're right but for a huge part of last season there was a pecking order and Remy was third. Jose then said he should have played him more then unfortunately Remy got injured but I hope he'll get more minutes next season.

Would be amazing If Jose could bring him back to somewhere close to his best. He defo has a point to prove in the premiership would be amazing if  he starts scoring for us.

Totally behind him, right now I'm optimistic enough to believe he will do well for us (may change slightly when the season starts!). Who knows, but I love the thought that he will be sh*t hot and we will have the last laugh. If not, we still got Diego ;)

I can't believe how unenthusiastic i am about one of the worlds top strikers joining us..
I will be behind him, but he'll not get the same leeway i inexplicably gave Torres... 'Once bitten twice shy' springs to mind.

Anyways.. Welcome and good luck Radamel.

No idea why Torres got all that leeway. Think we have to see, maybe Jose has intentions of using a diamond from time to time

I can see this one working out, Falcao won't have the massive pressure he had last year at that mob. Hopefully Costa has a similar season to last year (albeit with a better injury record) which means we won't have to rely on Falcao as much.
