Radamel "the project" Falcao

Featured Replies

Yeah gives me some hope that he can turn it around.

Although im sure JT said the same thing about Torres and how hard it was to mark him.

I no longer have hopes for big name strikers doing well at Chelsea.

Crespo, Torres and Sheva have ruined it for me.

Diego Costa was a big name before joining us and he's doing pretty well. Crespo was good as well, but he just couldn't settle in England. On the pitch he was pretty good though.

I've said this before but it annoys me when people call Crespo a flop, although he didn't play many games his strike rate was incredbile great player and deadly finisher.

I honestly don't think Crespo was that great... especially if you look at the transfer as a whole.

As for Costa, naturally he did great last season, but we have a general trend for them to not do well. Thats all.

We must disagree friend, we wouldn't have won the title without in in 2005/06.

that sucks, so he pretty much won't get a full pre-season. that is the downside to these international tournaments, pre-season is shortened. i was hoping cuadrado and falcao would be able to have a worthwhile pre-season, but there's only two games left after this weekend.

apparently mourinho asked terry and cahill what they thought of falcao and his performance against us when he was playing for united at SB a few months ago. Mourinho said that terry and cahill were both hugely enthusiastic about his movement and claimed he was a handful.

believe it when i see it.

still think he will be a disappointment but need to get behind him. at least if it goes horribly wrong then its only a year. and at least if it works out and i am proved wrong about him then we might have a player on our hands.

meh.

“I just remember he was non-stop,” Cahill said. “He was always pulling you left to right, coming short and running in behind. Even when he wasn’t getting a lot of the ball, off the ball I was having to do a lot of running, chasing him and he was moving me around every two minutes. He made that game tough and there was a lot of movement people didn’t see because the ball was elsewhere. I had to always be on my toes.”

I have to admit, I'm kind of excited to see Falcao in a Chelsea shirt, even after last season.

Wonder how long that excitement will last, let's open a book..

1/10 - one game

1/2  -  two games

Evens  -  three games

10/1  -  four games

100/1  -  five+ games

we all have to get behind the bloke, keep positive and hope he gets of the mark quickly

i was pessimistic about him tbh, but now its happening, hes arriving, what IF we get the player

back that demolished us in the European super cup

or what IF not

It's scary, 2/3 years ago, I'd of been absolutely ecstatic to see Falcao up top for us, now I'm so-so about the whole thing.

Which I suppose it's an ingenious move by Jose, if he's a hit then everyone will be amazed, if not, no one will be overly surprised.
