October 9, 201510 yr Sadly, he didn't debate. His opinion was law. I personally get bored very quickly with those types. I do miss "Football Manager" who said José WILL be gone by Christmas..... 2 years ago
October 14, 201510 yr So do I Me too. Have a gut feeling that this will FINALLY be the start of a good run of form.
October 14, 201510 yr Me too. Have a gut feeling that this will FINALLY be the start of a good run of form. I hope so, but I predict a scrappy 1-1
October 14, 201510 yr Not sure if this has been brought up or not yet, I tried to read as much as I could. But most of the posts from a few days before we started the season were.. Ivanovic is overrated and will struggle this year,Matic is overrated and will struggle, Fabregas will get found out and that none of our youth will ever get a go.A lot of that coming true to an extent.Mine:1) I liked Torres, thought he scored some important goals3) We are almost the grim reaper for world class players, you either make it or you are blown into football obscurity, could well be a cultural problem (why do we destroy player confidence?)3) I enjoy beating Liverpool more than any other team4) I think Matic should be as good as Yaya5) I think we'll stick to our word and hold onto Mourinho
October 14, 201510 yr He had a few aliases when he was here I seem to remember a poster called Cechs left peg or something like that, he tended to agree with everything he said.

He sulked most of his time with us
October 14, 201510 yr I'm fully behind the team and manager and don't get overly bothered by a slump in form as I always believe it will be turned around. And I can't stand reading the majority of threads on here now that we are in a slump of form. It is definitely not a place for anyone optimistic. That's my unholy confession.
October 15, 201510 yr My super honest confession .... I dont know why i support chelsea ..Honestly .. Sometime in 2008-2009 I started watching EPL and I keep on thinking what made me fall in love with Chelsea .. When i understood the game better , i realized there are some teams who play better football , some have bigger stadiums , more fans , huge history ,, chelsea are seen as the bad boys .... but i just cudnt dislike them ..its not like i look at things from my blue tinted glasses and appreciate everything chelsea do . .On the contrary , i feel the only area where chelsea excels over domestic and european rivals is that we have a passionate owner for whom chelsea is not an investment ...rest i hate the fact that we keep on firing managers .. i hate that despite spending huge on sacking managers and buying mega stars , we havent invested a lot to come up with a city like academy ..i hate when we loan out kids and then sell them without giving them enuf chances .. i agree sometimes it feels like we use them as financial assets ... but then no matter what ... I just love Chelsea madly despite all these reasons ..and that too madly ..i feel like crying everytime chelsea loose but I just cant figure out why do i Like them so much even though they dont run the way i want a club should ideally run .its like having a spoilt son , u dislike most of his actions but u just cant hate him ..u just protect him from rags n gunners making fun of him . why do i say this ... coz when i ask people why they love a club ..they come up with reasons .. its like they weighed their options and chose one .. man united fans were like rooney , ronaldo , tevez , busby babes ..pool fans were like istanbul 2005 , YNWA ..gunners are like invincibles this thaT ..but honestly i din do my maths before choosing ... i really dunno how that happened .. just fell for chelsea when saw them playing for the first time ..recognized ballack , JT and Lampard only ..most players were unknown ..their trophy count , history , roman and money story ..everything was not known to me ... just fell for them .. like love at first sight for a girl without konwing her religion , wealth , family details , job etc ... Now m not trying to show a loyalty or sanity with this .. all m saying is ..for fans outside UK , did it happen the same way .. did u like a certain player or watch a particular final and then loved the team . or did u just see them playing for the first time and fell for them ..for what reason i dont know ..the blue strip , the lion badge ..or whatever . i sometimes feel lucky chelsea came out to be a team challenging on all fronts as my brain didnt get a chance to do its homework before my heart fell for the blues ..they cud have been a wigan or watford of this world .. i wud have still followed them with the same passion though ..
October 15, 201510 yr Firstly I think our academy is up there with City's. Secondly, don't believe the people who give you reasons why they support their clubs. It may have been a moment (70 cup final v Dirty Leeds for me - as a 19 yo), but mainly it's peer pressure, and not wanting to have the piss taken out of you at school that fashions the choice.
October 15, 201510 yr Can I just say I hate it when people say so and so plays better football, you can maybe say more entertaining but it doesn't make it better.

I used to say i supported liverpool or leeds up until i was 8 as id never watched football and i heard other kids around me saying that they were good teams. I came to my senses when I watched Chelsea, and in particular Zola, when i was around 10 and my mind was made up.
October 16, 201510 yr true. I used to say i supported liverpool or leeds up until i was 8 as id never watched football and i heard other kids around me saying that they were good teams. I came to my senses when I watched Chelsea, and in particular Zola, when i was around 10 and my mind was made up. I followed Charlton, Best etc until 1970, then watched the 1970 final at 10yo. Of course, in those days, the blanket TV coverage of the FA Cup final started at about 9am, with the players leaving their hotels for the coaches. They'd follow the coaches to Wembley (obviously, our driver left ours on the pitch, in front of the goal), a whole day affair.
October 16, 201510 yr I find myself having a soft spot for Livepool now solely because I love Jurgen Klopp. (this is the most unholy of all confessions)
October 17, 201510 yr I followed Charlton, Best etc until 1970, then watched the 1970 final at 10yo. They'd follow the coaches to Wembley (obviously, our driver left ours on the pitch, in front of the goal), a whole day affair. I think Chelsea gained a great deal of their fans due to the team of 1970 and just before. Myself it was a 4-0 win at ManU even though they were the European Champions. We played great football in those days and should really have gone on to greater things.
October 17, 201510 yr Sometimes I wonder if I'll still be alive when we surpassed Arsenal's PL trophy count.
October 19, 201510 yr I find myself having a soft spot for Livepool now solely because I love Jurgen Klopp. (this is the most unholy of all confessions) That's completely fudged... but I'm slightly the same.. pains me to say. I lived in Mainz for a year (where he coached before Dortmund) and the guy was such a legend. I wish they hadn't appointed him because I couldn't stand them back in the CL
October 21, 201510 yr Well we hope it's as a neutral It was, i had box tickets through my work. Was a decent game and a good day, just wish they has given me box tickets to a chelsea game!!
November 8, 201510 yr 8) The fact we dont have many English players in the team sickens me, and im not even English It only sickens me as far an abundance of top English players being available and us missing out on the opportunity to sign them. Unfortunately there aren't a whole lot of Terrys, Coles and Lampards about at the moment - the point being that we should fill all positions in the squad based on merit alone.
