I secretly love the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" (although I'll never admit it to my Liverpool supporting Grandfather).

It's a good song, it was my Nanna's favourite song and she was a Man U fan. Just because Liveprool latched onto it doesn't mean it isn't a great song nor should anyone feel shame for liking it.

Well, it was one of my great aunt's favourite songs, actually. She loved Carousel. Unfortunately, Liverpool's close connection with the song have always slightly soured it for me, to be honest.

Chelsea fans used to sing it quite a lot in the 1970's, as did Man Utd's I believe.

It is ok if You'll Never Walk Alone as long as you always Wank Alone !!!!

True most clubs did the dippers basically put it on their crest and gates and so they could try make it their own typical scousers. Give me blue is the colour any day, at least it ours and not knicked

You'll never walk alone is from the musical Carousel - gerry & pacemakers had  a hit with it in the early sixties - many different fans would sing it but because of the "Liverpool sound" thing of the sixties (Beatles, Searchers, Pacemakers etc) the scousers treated as their own song,  The first semi-final  I went to in 1965 we were down 2-0 and about to lose and the whole ground was sing it (me included) - very moving and did not really think it was totally Liverpool song until later.

Because other teams had their own anthems - Liverpool, West Ham (bubbles), Newcastle(Blaydon races), Spurs (Glory glory hallelujah ) - Chelsea via the program had contests to see if we could adopt own anthem - can only remember "Strolling" being tried and failing miserably.

Apologies for the history lesson.

Hallelujah brother, never got the office at all. And gervais is an unfunny one trick git.

I know there are a lot of folk on here who don't rate Gervais. I can understand that as although I am a fan he does appear to be a bit marmite - love him or hate him.

But anyone seen the opener he did to this years Golden Globes on Sunday? Absolutely hilarious.

Yes that was brilliant, had me in tears

1) Am worried that Newcastle and Norwich are bulking up with key players (Shelvey and Naismith), and that Swansea is getting a new manager after all. We have little momentum but at least we're not losing anymore.

2) I think our youth team run is under-reported, and am actually very excited about our future come what may in this horror-show of a season.

3) I think RLC could be Yara Toure and Lampard wrapped in one. Extremely bullish about him, perhaps delusional though.

4) I think the "everyone hates Chelsea" meme is getting to some of the players, and that it was one of the key reasons for the JM implosion.

5) I still can't get myself to criticise Ivan much even though he has been absolutely atrocious this season. He is still one of my favourite Chelsea players.

has a lot of things in my mind lately and i remember there's a thread where i can absolve all this sinful thought so bear with me so i can find peace

-when simeone announce he'll be leaving atletico and we just got humiliated by arsenal, was hoping we'll continue to struggle so we'll be in for simeone next summer, but now after such a sudden nothing short of magical turnaround, i honestly think we have the best manager in the world

-i hate when hazard roll around like he just been hit by a tank after a soft nudge, and some people here calling for the offender to be sent off :laugh2:

-thibo is still a spoiled primadonna twat who only plays good when the team's winning and sulk with jose-esque moaning at the media when the team's losing, just can't bring myself to like him

-i'm a big fan of baba he has an abundance of potential and really don't get all the hate here

-was very disappointed we let cuadrado leave was class during preseason and thought he'll do very well under conte

-putting my tinfoil hat on, but i'm starting to believe some leicester players *cough* mahrez vardy morgan huth *cough* took steroids last season and the FA were letting them do it

idk probably just a random tinfoil thought that crept in my mind watching the game yesterday probably with huth and morgan  just age showing up but vardy and mahrez after being just plain unguardable last season it's bewildering watching their performance i mean it's not like they have a twat of a manager and are planning to sack him like a certain champion last season :blush2:

Sorry what did Cuadrado do in pre season exactly?

Average at best from what i remember.

Yesterday I cheered on the Spuds and got quite excited whenever they came close and when they were awarded then scored the penalty.

I feel dirty.

well you didn't watch the madrid  & milan game then, changed the game in just 20minutes playing time after replacing the usual willian passive performance

he's one of juve's star performer this season, and barca's looking to get him this january to play at right back

he'll be right at home at wing back and and provide challenge for moses

Can't help but agree - Moses can do nothing wrong at the mo and long may it continue but I can't help but think just how good Cuadrado may have been at RWB for us. Conte wanted him to stay but he wanted to leave so best of luck to him. If the pikeys away is anything to go by just hope Moses/Alonso stay free of injury/suspension.

yep the way conte was very desperate to keep him, he knew he's going to do well at the wing back

i mean look at this, he even added a new dimension to his signature falling down to the ground helplessly move

I think Kenedy would be better suited to the left wing back position, I'm a big fan of his and I'm very annoyed with his lack of play at Watford.

Not my unholy conffesion and I've no idea who wrote this, but someone wrote this back in the day:

Pfft - Drogba is an over rated jobby. Mutu is a team player, willing to work to create chances.
