October 27, 20169 yr Yep RWB would be more comfortable for him, bit odd to play him on the wrong side when we know Azpi can do a job on the left. Offensively he was pretty good, has technical ability to beat a man and wriggle his way out of pressure to pass the ball without losing it. Defensively he was playing on the wrong side and as a whole we were all over the place so it's not the best game to judge him.

Can't be bothered to find the exact quote but Aina said recently that he prefers and feels more comfortable playing on the left.
October 28, 20169 yr Not clear cut from this horribly written article but perhaps this is what you're referring to. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2016/08/24/chelsea-talent-ola-aina-explains-left-back-comforts/301374/ 3 hours ago, ForeverCarefree said: Can't be bothered to find the exact quote but Aina said recently that he prefers and feels more comfortable playing on the left.
January 12, 20179 yr Author At the last days, we've been linked with players like Antonio, Hector, R.Rodriguez. Is Aina in Conte's plans?

January 12, 20179 yr Personally i don't rate him, but he seems to be one of the ones on the fringes at the moment. He may well get some more time in the FA cup.
January 13, 20179 yr Think he needs play time and also needs time to adapt to wing back, probably would be very good at RB but the transition needs time.

January 13, 20179 yr Lots of players look good at youth level, but few make the step up. I just don't think he's going to be one of the few.
January 13, 20179 yr I think the opposite i think he is the most likely. He has everything to be a top player.

He is already in the first team squad at 20yo, that is some achievement in itself. The longer he is surrounded by top professionals, the more chance of him being a top player himself..
January 24, 20179 yr Lost place on the bench now with JT and Ake coming back. I know he's a fullback/wing back but we aren't going to go for four defenders on the bench with Zouma as well. Fingers crossed for a long cup run.

Yeah, I suppose the inverse of a natural skepticism about individual youth players making it is the idea that every single successful footballer in the history of the game was at some point a youth player.

He's made lots of improvements.
