Was at work today but managed to avoid the score and sat down to watch it as live...wish I hadn't bothered...for much of that match I was thinking the one consolation we have is that at least we haven't been tonked, only to concede two sloppy goals late on...the worrying thing is, I wasn't surprised...we look flat, uninspired and lacking in confidence...

On the plus side we have plenty of time to turn this around and hopefully, it may even convince the powers that be to get the chequebook out...yes baba rahman has arrived, but a back up left back isn't going to change things...

We have made a right pigs ear of the title defence so far - the preseason, lack of signings, rowing with own medical dept...surprising with Jose at the helm...

On to west Brom and I don't care how we win, it can come off branas large arse for all I care. But we need three points...you can bet the press will be revelling in our 'crisis' until we do

Not a good day and always a possibility with our poor preseason and lethargic start to this, City, wounded by last seasons events were always going to be well up for this and definately played us at the right time.

I like most people lay some of the blame at Jose's door but talk of his exit is absurd at this stage of our first season for a while carrying the burden of the title "champions".

I think a few of the players minds are not fully focused and I don't think Jose knows his best team as the form of the players is out the window, it needs freshening up and the players

are aware of it, why this doesn't spur them into better performances is anyone's guess but the season is young and most of the also rans have improved which gives a bit of room for error

so all is certainly not lost.

I think Jose is a bit reliant on some players that have been impressive and gives them too much leeway when they are out of form, Cesc for me is a huge concern and looks a luxuary that a not firing on all cylinders Chelsea team can ill afford.

I hope Oscar recovers in time for the WBA game as although up and down has looked sharp so far and helps this team tick, without him I think we look more fragile and less organised.

I am in one of the unusual times when I'm finding fault with the managers choices and tactics but no way does that mean I'd want to see him gone, stability is what I've hoped for here

for quite some time so an upheaval when we have Mourinho in charge would be totally against what I want for the club, he's not my favourite Chelsea manager by far but he is the one most likely to have us realistically challenging for everything, he'll have his blips as every manager does and he'll sometimes send the boys out to play in a way a lot of us won't quite

understand but when it comes to the business end of the season, I expect his explanation in the form of a chunk of silverware.

Lets hope the boys get some pride back in the next game with a good performance and the manager in his interview can tell it like it is, no more excuses.

There's a way to lose, the most disappointing fact is that we've started defensively and lost 3-0. For me to lose 1-0 with a fighting football is acceptable, but 3-0 is too much. There's no point to say how bad we played, from this point I'm thinking only about an improvement and BIG changes by Jose. With all respect I think this defeat was by Jose, we didn't have to play defensively, even if we're in worse form than Man City.

From this moment we should start play attacking football, we got players Hazard, Fabregas, Oscar, Willian. We must turn into a machine team, we have the ability for that. I will try to forget this game and focus on our next. It still the beginning of the season and we have a lot of time, I believe in our players and our coach, COME ON CHELS, HEADS UP!

I understand your concerns. Today's result was disappointing but it was against one of the tougher opponents in the league. I don't mean to diminish the result but JM will take note of areas for improvement and will see that improvements happen. Also, it's way too early to refer to someone like Klopp as a manager for CFC after two games.

Ok with dat Klopp i go step to far. I dont get one thing. Why when we have players like Hazard(JM said he will be as good as Ronaldo/Meesi in future), Fabregas(the best assistman in out last company), Costa(a man who i like call "beast" and very good striker), Oscar(good young talent), William(this man leaves his heart on court), Remy(Joker) and now Falcao, why we play so deffensive? From defeat with Spurs our game was change. We dont or cant "killed a match". We can get 1-0 and go all def our gate. Ok with opponents to TOP4 i agree and we can def and wait for double. But with other team? I dont get it.

I defended JW for couple of months but now... mayby because of dat lose i ghave bad humor now. :/

No one can win everything, all the time in football. If we end up bottom of the league then today was a good indicator, as it is we will move on and learn, therefore fighting to keep the title.

Can someone who knows how to do these things please set up a MOTM poll for today's game but put Begovic as the only choice.

Over reaction big time ! All the top teams lose now & again

could go on and win 5 in a row

I trust Jose more than any manager in since Carlo, most of the players need to take a long hard look in the mirror not the manager

Keep the faith my Chelsea loving friends

I thought the new doctor and physio did well on debut myself

Not read the whole thread, but if anyone has suggested Jose has to go, needs to take a long hard look in the mirror

we have kenedy, traore, loftus-cheek, moses, bamford (who we decided to loan out), ola aina, colkett etc, who are all supremely talented and not one of them is getting a chance (okay barring kenedy due to the work permit issue) in this team right now. ramires, cuadrado, ivanovic, even willian who are offering very little right now and we have the aforementioned lads vying for a place in the team, so give them a chance.

i see no reason why RLC couldn't be used in the CAM role (where he should be played) with one of traore/moses/kenedy out RW. even put hazard central, moses/kenedy out RW and traore on the left to switch it up. i would rather see this right now and some new blood in the side than the same old, same old, week in and week out as it feels like that team has run it's course.

sh*t, forgetting oscar too. oscar would have made a difference today and, as much as a lot of people sh*t on him, he's very talented when on form.

gotta give credit to yaya toure though, that dude is beast outside the box. his shooting technique is brilliant and super efficient, i would love to know his accuracy stats when taking shots, he's someone we could use. city have two big game changers in him and aguero.

Just got back from the Etihad. Very poor performance. Devoid of ideas in attack, lethargic effort overall and defensively we look so shaky across the board. Even Azpilicueta got done a few times by Navas.

So many players are really not pulling their weight at all at the moment. Ivanovic could do with getting dropped and I would draft in Zouma over Cahill who quite frankly is just a liability at this point.

Jose - Please stop talking sh*t for one second and just admit that were crap and got exactly what we deserved.

The only positive from today was Begovic, pulled off two outstanding saves and saved us from further embarrassment.

This may seem somewhat apoplectic but if we don't win at WBA then we will really struggle to retain the Title. 7/8 points behind on City after 3 games would be enormous at this stage. I'd almost say that that game is a must win.

I didn't hold out much hope for a win today before the game and losing 3-0 may have been a bit harsh but on today's performance we didn't deserve to win despite what Jose may say.

We have not played well for quite a while now. After grinding out results before we won the league at the end of last season, during pre-season, the community shield and these first two matches of this season.

Ivan is a weak link now at right back and this needs to be rectified. Fabregas and Costa look shadows of the players they were for the majority of last season. We still lack width. I'm sure Jose knows what the squad needs and with the announcement that Baba is now officially a Chelsea player it's a step in the right direction. I get the feeling that Jose has been left frustrated with the lack of signings so far. This may result in his current mood and the ridiculous events involving the medical staff.

To be fair, think 3-0 was the least city deserved..Begovic made some great saves and they looked like scoring every time they hit us on the break...still don't get why they play 'one step beyond'...what a bunch of w**kers they are...no originality at all

MOTD

Shearer pointing out that Fabergas has a fridge on his back.

And City getting praised for defence, but I don't see why as we were utter crap in attack, and our incompetence was not down to the city defence.
