October 17, 201510 yr Happy with the 3 points and clean sheet, its a start.Oh and we all have differing opinions on here no point getting out of your prams over it (its embarassing)
October 17, 201510 yr I didn't call you a mug Gem and we all have our days, it was an innocent comment blown out of proportion, and I still maintain my point, FFP support your club financially if you are able, and to clarify I wasn't taking a shot at her for being a woman, however at people backing her up with what was shown to be incorrect information just because she was, what's right is right regardless of sex..in any case you have always been someone who I have been respectful with and I appreciate your approach however there are some days where you don't feel like receiving a barrage of abuse and being the nice guy back just to fit in, I shouldn't have to say I'm wrong when I'm clearly not just because it rubs people the wrong way who may be defensive about being a fan from outside London... i think someone needs a kitkat!..
October 17, 201510 yr Ah I see well that makes sense if he's living in abu Dubai since they think women should hide their entire bodies from the world. That sounds bigoted to me..that's ok in your view but not to call someone a white knight for coming to the aid of a woman even if she instigates...
October 17, 201510 yr Well, just weighing in on the TV broadcast argument, as someone who works in the industry. The TV stations and paid online streaming services, such as ESPN and Fox sports pay the club what is essentially a set fee, for the season, and they bid against each other for the rights to the matches a long time prior to them ever being aired on TV, which is why we see fixture changes and such to suit the broadcasters. So saying that by watching a stream instead of paying for the match, you're damaging the club's revenue, is, in fact, horsesh*t, you're damaging the TV station's revenue very slightly, since the advertisers are paying based on the forecasted number of viewers, the club have already secured their deal prior to the match. That's the gist of it, it's obviously a lot more complex, and it's a saturday so I'd rather not be discussing work sh*t, but really illegal online streams have such a minimal impact on live sports broadcast that it's not worth anyone's time chasing them down, which is why there are so many streaming sites out there. The quality is usually sh*te, but when people have no other option to watch the match it's better than nothing. I know that where I live, in Ireland, there's no service available to get the 3PM kick offs, so streaming is the only option. Basically, what I'm trying to say is; it's best not to argue about things you don't actually know about, someone always ends up looking like a pleb. In other news, good win, sh*t game, onwards and upwards. Edited October 17, 201510 yr by RMCM
October 17, 201510 yr Get in lads!!!! Not the most convincing performance (not that it needed to be considering Villa are utter dogsh*t) but I'll take three points and a clean sheet very very happily. Hopefully we can build on this in order to begin our assault on the top four half. Time to get drunk
October 17, 201510 yr Matic substitution for all the abuse it got changed the game for me in the second half. If Matic had played the whole game like he did when he came on, he'd be the clear man of the match for mine. And that's despite Willian and Azpilicueta both having excellent games. I must admit, I don't see the fuss around the games of Ramires and RLC. Neither were particularly good in my opinion. Edited October 17, 201510 yr by Guest
October 17, 201510 yr Thought Baba looked nervous in the first half but did little wrong in the second which is a big positive. Clean sheet is a huge relief with how many goals we've been conceding. Diego back in the team and back among the goals, need him to start clocking them up. Overall not a brilliant performance but I'm more than happy with the result.
October 17, 201510 yr That sounds bigoted to me..that's ok in your view but not to call someone a white knight for coming to the aid of a woman even if she instigates... But where you seem to go wrong is in your belief that we were 'coming to her aid' just because she's a woman. What on earth does that have to do with anything?
October 17, 201510 yr I thought Baba did rather well today. Hopefully he will have another game next week to prove himself. Anyway about the team, this win will mean a lot to them and I hope it will spur them to more victories soon! Good days (possibly) ahead everyone!
October 17, 201510 yr I would use more than 1 source to prove your point. Some questions to counter-argue this source of yours. How do they collect these information? Are they reliable? What do commercial and broadcasting revenues actually entail? Were any cross-references made with other articles of similar topics? Come on mate, never been in business have you, do you know what an annual report is? Any entity you can buy shares in publishes an annual report, this information must be accurate and it is illegal to falsify an annual report, it shows with some extent of detail the entities financial activity for the year.... like I said being right isn't important today, being a kiss arse is apparently
October 17, 201510 yr That sounds bigoted to me..that's ok in your view but not to call someone a white knight for coming to the aid of a woman even if she instigates... No you called her out for having a vagina your EXACT words so don't come on now telling me what is bigoted. We won the match why are you still harping on this sh*t?

If Matic had played the whole game like he did when he came on, he'd be the clear man of the match for mine. And that's despite Willian and Azpilicueta both having excellent games. I think people were fine with Matic coming on, but not happy about who he came on for. I still think we would have won just as comfortably and maybe played better if Loftus-Cheek had stayed on.
October 17, 201510 yr Good to get a win and clean sheet. However, still think we are papering over the cracks. We really need to go on a winning streak. Baba rahman looked pretty dodgy probably still early days. Think we need to go with a 4-3-3 and have matic sitting deep with Rambo and fabregas ahead. I agree, but I do think that this will go a long way in giving us that boost we needed to kick on.
October 17, 201510 yr WHat's that then....don't act hard you fat middle age overweight twat Here's what you said to me calling me a fat twat which is quite funny you can read my profile I'm 29. But no you didn't insult me or anyone. Seriously f**k off Edited October 17, 201510 yr by IndianaBlue85

Actually industry man, before making the financial offers the commercial department will calculate the ROI (return on investment) they won't offer a random figure, the figure they offer is how much they think they can make back with profit, then they will bid accordingly. How do they know what they will make back? They base it on last years subscription numbers and future projections, so by streaming this year you impact next year's bid...tell me that's wrong clever clogs, I suppose streaming music does not impact the music industry, many streams are closed down as they run that's why they block out the channels water mark, sky sports has a specific unit to deal with illegal streams, like you said talking about things you don't know result in you looking like a pleb... Hopefully it's just a matter of settling down after the huge shock of being in the starting line-up We're in 11th place, yessirree!

I would have preferred RLC to stay on ahead of Cesc or saving that Ramires, but there's no doubt to me that Matic's introduction changed the game for us.

Newbies, as Gem highlighted, have been banned for less, so shouldn't older members know better and treat fellow shedenders with respect? I really am appalled. First game for a while, first win for a while totally hijacked.
October 17, 201510 yr Well spotted tautology. I was ok with all the nasty and sexist bollocks, but the tautology was just a step too far.

October 17, 201510 yr I would have preferred RLC to stay on ahead of Cesc or saving that Ramires, but there's no doubt to me that Matic's introduction changed the game for us. I wanted Matic to start, i think playing without a natural DM is risky and we looked slightly unbalanced. I was hoping Mourinho would have paired up Matic and Loftus-Cheek, that seems far more balanced to me and makes us stronger. Loftus-Cheek has more power than both Ramires and Fabregas, he can also pass and control the ball better than Ramires too. I don't know, it just seems like Mourinho doesn't have any faith in him because of his age.
