Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Chelsea (CL) 24/11/15 KO 19:45

Featured Replies

Away from home in the CL is a different kettle of fish to at home V one of the worst teams in the league. Aswell as that spuds on Sunday may be in the back of Jose mind

Chelsea team tonight: Begovic; Azpilicueta, Cahill, Terry ©, Baba Rahman; Fabregas, Matic; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Diego Costa. #CFC

Chelsea subs v Maccabi Tel Aviv: Blackman, Ivanovic, Zouma, Mikel, Loftus-Cheek, Pedro, Remy. #CFC

But we cant win the group can we?

If we win the last 2 games we will 99% win the group.

Does head to head go down to away goals

If we are level on points, then it goes to head to head, then it goes to goal difference.

If we can win tonight by a one goal better scoreline than Porto, then beat them by 1-0, we qualify as winners on goal difference.

What if Porto beat Kiev, and then we beat them 3-2 at SB? (Providing we win tonight.)

Would they go through top on H2H?

Edit: Nevermind, already cleared it up above my post

Lik I said it depends on the Porto scoreline tonight as well. we need to better their win by one goal tonight.

Decent team, nice to see Baba getting another start, Jose is using the squad a bit more and Oscar gets another chance to push his way in to the attacking midfield, hoping he takes it as Pedro Willian and Hazard are looking quite strong.

Hope we get an early lead and a chance to rest Costa for the next game, we need him sharp for that one.

Loving the punditry so far, earlier saying that Hazard needs to play in the middle and Mourinho is stupid not too. Then they go on to say that RB has been Maccabi's weakness this season and Chelsea should look to exploit that, (if only we put our best attacker at LW ;) ;)).
They also go on to say that Chelsea's side isn't balanced having not played many left footers (they do mention Matic but say that he plays to deep so doesn't count) highlighting that Hazard and Oscar prefer their right foot using this as an arguement as too why we prefer attacking down the left. How do they choose these pundits and where do I apply, just get me drunk and I will make all the incoherent nonsensical points you could want.

Sober up mate, the footballs coming on

Bit surprising that Kenedy isn't with the squad. Good line up though in my opinion.

Really? Barring Baba it's the exact same team that has disappointed week in week out for the past 3 months.

Not exactly though, Pedro played a part in those games, and so did Zouma. Oscar didn't feature much in those games.

Players like Fabregas, Matic and Hazard stepped up their game last weekend so if they continue on the same foot we should be fine.

I'd say Oscar has been a massive disappointment. My main issue is Kenedy isn't even in the squad and Loftus Cheek still isn't getting a game.
