What a shift. They earned that, such a refreshing display.

I did fancy us tonight, but even I didn't see them being that fired up. Barely gave them a moment on the ball.

Delighted, biggest game of a poor season so far and they all stepped up.

a win against leicester would send out a message and hopefully provide some confidence.

Courtois 8 - giant. So commanding

Matic - 8 very good. More like old self

Willian - 8 scored and generally played well

Zouma - 8 juggernaut of a defender

Funny though Hazard didn't seem to interested in Jose's advances when he was taken off.......cold shoulder..mmmm!

Come on DB, to a man every one has been better, Hazard covering both left and right back, winning headers he had no righ to win, Costa making looping runs to pull dfenderes in all directions. Oscar winning everything in midfield, Willian actually breaking in to the box and using his natrual assets, and Matic finally looking like a beast again

 

I call it as I see it. Porto, very poor, although I'm not denying we were good, thanks mainly to a sensible team selection for once. Pedro and Fabregas have no right to be anywhere near our team at present. Hazard is way off the player he can be, same for Oscar, in fact Oscar shows precious little quality for me, he's just become a battler, which is what Hazard will become if we're not careful, I'm really not bothered if he's covering both full-backs, he should be expending his energy lighting up games, Jose's management is not working for him. Matic looked good for a change, thanks in part to the absence of Fabregas, but I repeat, Porto aren't that good. Happy enough with Costa for a change, happy with our defence, delighted Courtois is back, and Willian again excellent. More than anything I'm happy with the win.

When Chelsea eek out an all-hands-on-deck 1-0 win against Leicester, I'll be waiting for the commentator to be basking in the glory of the wonders of the Premier League... and how clubs like lowly Chelsea can upset the big boys like Leicester City!

The battler that is Oscar laid the foundations for this win. Tonight we needed workrate he gave us that,even if the quality isn't quite there.

Porto were unbeaten before the dynamo game.

I think we were so focused and sharp that we couldn't let Porto be good. Fantastic performance.

Amazing levels of tenacity and desire.  From Costa leading the line, making good runs, and getting into the areas.  I thought both Willian and Hazard had exceptional games too.  Oscar in there was pressing and creating.  Wonderful

 

MAtic put in a near MOM perfomance, and looks much more assured without having to cover for Cesc too.  If I was to shed any negativity right now, it would be - please drop Cesc more regularly.

 

Ramires, solid and performed well.

 

The back 4 were all very good, and I can't believe that Zouma is only 20!

 

Onward and upward.

Our possible opponents next round: Gent, Roma, Juventus, PSV, PSG, Benfica. do Arsenal count too? Dynamo can´t because we were in the same group. What do you guys think?

In a do or die match, we finally showed up and got the win, pity we couldn't play with the same intensity and courage week in week out ( or at least once a fortnight). It's ironic Jose dropped Fab, and we won. Not a great performance by any means, but right now we take any wins by 2 goals. At least we won't be facing Barca/Madrids/Bayern come February. 

do Arsenal count too?
