Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2016/2017

I think Arsenal actually have a bit of a chance to knock this years Bayern out. Almost so i want them too aswell since they are our closest rival at the moment and doesn't really have the squad to battle on two fronts.

I think it was a good draw, if the teams will show a good football, then the matches would be great to watch.

I have a feeling that we will see a big surprise, I can see Napoli beating Real.

Nah real will beat them easily. Napoli aren't very good.

I reminded some Arsenal supporters that it is possible for a London club to beat Bayern, and all they could do was remind me that 'at least Arsenal are in it this year', as if that's a sufficient substitute for having won it. Typical Arsenal mindset to be honest, trophy cabinet full of participation awards...

I actually wouldn't mind Arsenal staying in for a bit longer maybe to the quarters and TBH they probably have a better chance of beating Bayern than ever. Bayern aren't as good as they have been and as much as it pains me to say Arsenal are playing better than they have for a while.

Its so true, I was saying to my mate at work that Arsenal fans go on about consecutively qualifying for the CL and consecutively getting out of the group but what's the point if you're never going to win it?

In fairness I do usually want the other English teams to do OK (but not win it, obviously) just to put in a strong showing for the PL. I'm also a Lille fan as it's where my family are from, so I'm never that fussed about how well PSG etc. might do. As we've said, Arsenal as a whole club seem to have a 'happy to settle for 2nd/3rd/4th' mentality that translates to the players in big tournaments. Not sure this season can be much different, as well as they are playing.

I've spoken to a few Monaco fans who are worried about City, but at this rate I think they have a good chance honestly. Monaco have some very good players and are doing better in Ligue 1 than PSG, so if City continue to struggle it could be interesting.

Love it. Arsenal eventually manage to finish top of their group and still end up with as tough a draw as ever!!

That said, Bayern are beatable and IF Arsenal do get past them, they may fancy their chances of going all the way, as I don't think ANY of the top sides look as good this season.

MUST NOT HAPPEN!

Not sure if already mentioned but UEFA is proposing changing the kick-off times for CL matches. This is to allow for more of them to be watched. At the moment some kick-off at 5.30pm (U.K. time) but they tend to be for matches involving teams in Russia and other parts of Eastern Europe.

Blokes an asshole. Hope he gets sacked and f**ks off to some other country. It's good the media have turned on him.

Hope he stays. If Utd sack him they might actually get a decent manager and be good again.

Your hatred of Mourinho is quite frankly ridiculous. So much so that you don't think he's a good manager. Look at all he has achieved in the game and the fact he was a title winning manager less than two years ago proves he's a good manager.

There's nothing ridiculous in my hatred of the man. He's a c**t and I will forever despise him. f**k him.

Despising someone doesn't mean you should he deluded about a persons talent. I actually find it quite funny how a Chelsea fan can't hate the man who transformed us into a title winning team in the first place and happens to be our most successful manager ever.

He used to be good manager but he's now a washed up bitter old c**t.
