Telegraph are drip feeding it and hoping for spiked paper sales, just like they did with the expenses scandal.

I think a fair bit of this could be just hot air, the guy who leaked all this is an unlicensed agent, who got sacked for his own shady behaviour in Italy.

From what I heard on the radio QPR are sticking by JFH and Leeds have come out and said the story about their owner is a non story.

Don't think he was that good a manager to be honest but it's disappointing nonetheless.

Point still stands though, can't think of anyone else out there in England beyond Hughton and Powell.

Why does his race make you any more sympathetic for him? Weird. If he is guilty, He is guilty regardless of whether he is White or Black, and did you honestly say he's one of the few Black managers given a chance? How do you know Black managers aren't given a chance or are you just choosing to hold that narrative? There is a lack of British managers at the top end of the game but rightfully so as Big Sam's behavior for England and David Moyes disastrous reign at United have shown, Sometimes there's no conspiracy or agenda, Certain types of managers just aren't cutting the mustard.

Phil Neville saying Antonio has been shocked by the atmosphere and intensity of English football... fml.

The numerous goals he scored for Chelsea make me more sympathetic toward him. As for race, there's nothing wrong with wanting to see a black person be successful at management and hopefully pave the way for more to view it as a viable career path post playing career. For whatever reason there aren't exactly many who take it up.

Yes. Your point?

Read my post more carefully, I said he's on of the few with a chance of making it at the top level. It's not about a lack of chances for black managers, it's about a lack of black managers. That's not a narrative, it's simply the situation. Ruud Gullit was the first black manager in the English top flight when we appointed him in 96, Jean Tigana the second when he brought Fulham up. There have been four since. Four. In the history of English managerial appointments at every professional level since 1960 there have been a mere 50 appointments of 28 black managers.

For me, it doesn't matter if our manager is black or white or neon pink. Their religion, sexual orientation, etc don't matter. I can see an argument for giving priority to English managers because this is an English league, but the other stuff doesn't matter.  I'd like to think that almost all our fans agree with that. And those that don't should f**k off to another club.

As this is a results business, I would think most owners and chairmen of English clubs feel the same way.

That makes me wonder what is causing the dearth of black football managers.

Are there fewer black players going into coaching after their playing career? What are the figures in terms of people working on their coaching badges?

Are they choosing other positions within the club, such as Les Ferdinand becoming Director of Football?

If there is a widespread reason black players are not going into coaching, rather than each making the decision based on differing personal reasons, it would be good to try to break down that barrier because there is surely a lot of managerial talent not being developed.

I have to say Jeff Stelling's personality is completely neutralized on this Friday night football show, Maybe he's shy around hot women? But the same Stelling we get on Soccer Saturday is nowhere to be seen, All very awkward and boring.

Lucky scouse w**kers, compare that to our game and it shows just how little difference there is between a good and bad result.

FFS, What is with English commentators over pronouncing foreign names in order to make themselves look more smarter? Jonathan Pearce the other day was pronouncing James Rodriguez, Hamas Rodriguez, Hamas? Really, Never knew he was half Columbian/half Palestinian? and then today, The idiot commentator is pronouncing Kante as Conte, So the whole of last year he was pronounced Kante but then when he plays under a manager named Conte, You change the pronunciation to Conte, Makes sense.

Also, how the f**k have Liverpool been granted four penalties already?

When I see decisions like the one against Willian today not given for us it makes it hard not to feel hard done by when a rival is being given so many.

Ridiculous isn't it, its now gone beyond a joke with us to a point where we need answers from refs. We must be easily into double figures the last season and this for blatant penalties being turned down for us.

I see djilibobidybob was dropped by Sunderland. Fancy being that bad your dropped by a team as garbage as Sunderland. We've fleeced them

When we won the title a few season's ago it was well into double figures, i remember a thread on here about it, the same happened last season and we are already well on our way to that amount again this season. I think i have complained about it in pretty much every match day thread so far this season. I know we shouldn't expect refs to get every single decision correct, but they aren't giving us a penalty for any of them !! The majority of them aren't even tight decisions either, like that handball from the Leicester player in the League Cup, that was deliberate handball and the ref was looking straight at it. I refuse to believe that they are simply not seeing them. If they can give Liverpool and Man City penalties for minimal contact ( like when a player collapses after being brushed by an arm), then they should be able to see our players legs taken out in nearly every game. It's like our players have to be assaulted before we get a penalty.........actually, now i think about it, even then we don't get a penalty. Remember Oscar being knocked out after Ospina smashed into him and when Coloccini broke Demba Ba's nose with a high foot a few season's back? none of these ended in a penalty for us. I know every team get's denied penalties, but the refs seem to only make one correct call in ten for us. How many points is this costing us ? it must be a high amount.

Seriously, what the hell is going on ? The players and coaches can't even say a thing about it either or they get a fine or a ban. I'm not saying this is the case but it's quite easy for the refs in England to be corrupt when they are so heavily protected by the FA. Just look at Cahill's interview after the Swansea game, he was quite rightly pissed at that decision by the ref to not give a foul on him, but because he knew he would get a ban if he criticised the ref too much, he had to bite his tongue. The ref's can be as biased as they want in this country if they feel like it, nothing will come of it. They can get away with anything now because nothing bad can be said against them. All we can do is bitch and moan about it.
