Ha! Love that - funny because I don't hate them nearly as much as I did about a decade ago, when I personally hated them more than Arsenal and Spurs. Good to see the obsession is still going strong on Merseyside.

So the person writing this article was from London yet ended up supporting Liverpool in the late 70;s/80's.. I thought it was us Chelsea fans that were the glory supporters?

He then goes on to moan about the classic racist Chelsea stereotype. Is he forgetting how his own fan base defended Luis Suarez and booed Evra?

Of course the Liverpool fan had to also paint a picture of the hardship Liverpool as a city has gone through with unemployment and harsh conditions growing up (even though he's from London), typical victim mentality.

What a load of sanctimonious and utterly hateful drivel.

You need to catch a grip of yourself.

He literally doesn't mention the upcoming game once - that's some preview. Also I think this marks the first time someone from Liverpool has ever criticised someone else for being insufficiently cerebral.

When I first became aware of them, in the late 1970s, Chelsea were proper no-marks. The biggest thing about them was they had a John Terry-like figure of his day called Ron ‘Chopper’ Harris. Only he wasn’t very good. And that was it.

No cups, no crowd, no stars, just Chopper. He’d “chop ya legs off”, see. That was it. A hooligan on the pitch. A lad who could hurt other players. Legend.

Erm

A classic tale about a young boy who generalises a whole fan base and constantly calls them (as a collective) w**kers then we happens across a bunch of very drunk and overly lairy Chelsea fans and decides to loudly call them all w**kers and who would have thought it gets a negative response. Then he uses this single action to reaffirm his generalistic belief that all Chelsea fans are w**kers.

My favourite bit about this piece is this little dity “Ah, you see my good fellow, you need not take my quip personally. It was directed at a collective malaise I associate with your football club, but assuredly not with you as an individual. You have agency. You have choice. I respect you. I would not presume that you would taunt Liverpudlians about unemployment, nor berate a young man simply for the colour of his skin, nor be more likely to engage in meaningless violence than the next man, but…”
As if this would defuse any situation.

Wait, hold on...he moved from London, a world class city, to the slums of merseyside with his boyfriend Guilio for the specific reason of being closer to a team that haven't won the league in 26 years Hahaha, how can people hate this guy the poor sod needs all the sympathy he can get...no one ever accused dippers of being smart let alone an aspirant scouser...:laugh2:

Seems like Conte will use a 4-1-4-1, with Luiz in place of Terry, other than that it's unchanged.

Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Azpi; Kante; Willian, Oscar, Matic, Hazard; Costa

I think it's the smart move, this is a winning team and the boys are playing well.

Have to beat Liverpool at the Bridge...it would be fantastic!

Sorry but Liversh*te is all about pace and Ivanovich is the last player we need on the pitch...Alonso and Fabregas must start...it's time for Conte to use a little more ambition

These are the guys who know Liverpool well. So yeah! I think this is a great suggestion.

I'd like to say that this idiot doesn't represent the large majority of Liverpool fans, but I've seen his types of comments from Liverpool fans before, I think it just stems from simple jealousy, they can't take our succees over the last decade plus, we essentially replaced them as a top English team and aside from 2005 they've been a joke for years. They get called victims for a good reason, this idiots talking about hooligansim attached to our club etc...as if Heysel never happened, but it did and their fans got us all banned from Europe, that's literally worse than anything that our club has ever done, whether they like it or not.

Bloody weirdos those Liverpool fans. I have never seen a group of fan like this lot.

Arsenal getting there, they have taken the whole social media thing and run with it.

I just see Arsenal fans as a joke really and a bit thick, but Liverpool fans are different. The things they say and write is just weird, they are very cult like. No wonder why Klopp fits in well with them, he's a bit weird too.

They are a bit culty aren't they? Very bitter and venomous if you challenge them and in general abstract from reality.

Kante will be vital for this game. Leister was carved up open time after time with no proper DM. Kant'e pace and positing will be vital in shutting down their attack ( which is quite decent if I dare to admit). We need to make a statement as much as we want the 3 points, drop points here we are among the group of teams chasing the top 4 again.

4 an a half hour train from edinburgh this morning for the game, cant wait, if we dont let them get into their game we should be able to nullify them, 3-1 , costa x2 and hazard , Come on !!
