Azpi a good shout for MOTM

Fabregas for his 2 goals.

Costa had a big impact with his play.

Moses looks a better option than Willian atm .

Matic ended up having a pretty good game. 

 

 

Who disaappoined...?

Luiz showed us his true colours as expected.

Defence is poor with both Cahill and Luiz.

Alonso looks very ordinary. Didn't look good defensively nor offensively.

Hazard. Could really had a great half hour against tires fullbacks but he looked like he'd been on since the first minute 

RLC. Not impressed. Esp. Second half.

He didn't play. He was on the bench.

Great result, decent performance.

Cesc after a poor first half showed good performance, 2 goals + assist.

Moses, Azpilicueta and David Luiz were great.

Chalobah has impressed me once again, the way he asks for the balls, his movement is correct, he's very talented midfielder. He was involved in every attack.

Big disappointments from today are Cahill, Begovic, RLC, Pedro, Batshuayi, Alonso.

Hazard was good when he came on and set up the winning goal. He and the rest of the team held back in the second half of extra time which was the wise thing to do with Arsenal coming up next.

The goal back on Half Time was significant, before that we were quite simply a shambles. This side looks like the 'Dog and Duck' in defence, so hard to believe we have spent 50m strengthening it in the close season!. Great goal by Dave and it was suddenly game on and a deserved victory.

Costa looks very sharp when he is fully focussed on the game. Moses was good throughout and a nice last 40 mins for Chalobah who didnt look out of place with the ball at his feet. Pity we had to go the extra 30, as Cesc and Moses would have possibly played their way into Saturdays game. Luiz made some great long passes but still can't defend to save his life, as for Alonso judgement reserved for another day.

Just great to be still involved in the cup.

Agreed, he was the best player on the park for the 10 minutes he needed to be.

I thought alonso looked dodgy at times,maybe its first game jitters. but i can see azbi going back to LB and Ivan at RB.

 

I'm worried about the game against arsenal with our defense Cahill again was suspect.

maybe conte should put chalobah in alongside Kante to give more protection for the next game in a 4-3-3

Fabregas should be made vice captain, back four was poor, Matic needs to be dropped, Chalobah - Kante - Fabregas could work really well, Pedro and Moses both had good games.

We saw a glimpse of those runs from Pedro in behind the fullback and those passes from Luiz and Cesc were so close to coming off today, the more they play the better they will time and weight those passes, 

I wanted more from Moses he was playing against that teenager and he looked terrible, Moses should have destroyed that kid, I think he let him off lightly.

And RLC still doesn't look like he will ever make it at Chelsea.

 

 

Yes, we can play football! These guys became champions 2 years ago... the question now is - is our bus driver going to let them playing football or he will start with 3 DM against Arsenal once again.
