September 16, 20168 yr Here are the predictions for the Leicester game, even though we went out to Bristol Rovers on penalties in crystal ball land in the previous round of the EFL Trophy. For once, this is actually a half-realistic effort by the ball. The predictions are:  Chelsea (4-1-4-1): Courtois; Aina, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Kanté; Willian, Mati?, Loftus-Cheek, Oscar; Batshuayi Subs: Begovi?, Ivanovi?, Luiz, Fà bregas, Moses, Costa, Solanke  Prediction: Leicester City 0-1 Chelsea (Oscar)  I could actually believe that team, although Loftus-Cheek doesn't seem to play in the midfield anymore, the same being with Oscar out wide. It is the Brazilian's goal that wins it for us. Here's hoping...COME ON, BLUES!
September 17, 20168 yr Begovich Azpi - Cahil - Luiz - Alonso Moses - Kante - Fabs - Pedro Michi - Oscar / RLC Â I want to see a 2 striker system. Enough with us having to take the caution approach and play defensively. Let us force them on the backfoot for once. With the ball we can go 4-4-2 and without 4-5-1 and with Oscar seemingly being undroppable by Conte, I will lump him up to play the bridge between the midfield and the striker. I just hope he has his shooting boots on. Â Â Â Â

September 17, 20168 yr This competition is rather pointless, less prestige and less cash prize.. I support the idea to use this competition mainly for testing out our depth as well as making experiment.. Not necessary to put cesc on, we all know what he can do, well apart from a timid manager.. It's a good time to try out different combination of the back 4 because the original one needs tweaking since last season.. Â
September 17, 20168 yr leicester got united on saturday and we got arsenal, it's going to be a battle of the b team, i expect conte to experiment on this one with 442 like in the last round begovic aina-luiz-ivan-alonso pedro-cesc-mikel/matic-moses bats-rlc(more of a number 10 shadow striker role like in the rovers game) Edited September 17, 20168 yr by havelschayes

September 17, 20168 yr Hope so. I dont want cesc playing in league cup. He belongs in the first team running our midfield.Well the starting line up against Arsenal will reveal to us what Conte thinks about Fabregas. And am sure the likes of Costa, Terry, Hazard will be very keen to see the changes Conte will make (especially) in the midfield after we have lacked creativity in our last two matches. Let's all wait and see!
September 17, 20168 yr Considering this is Leicester's third game in a week, and before an away game against Man Utd on Saturday, and a key European tie against Porto the following Tuesday, we can probably expect them to rotate fairly heavily. I do not expect them to target this competition whatsoever. You can already see that the likes of Vardy and Drinkwater (and even Slimani, although that may have more to do with a lack of match fitness) are starting to look tired. Schmeichel seems to be injured, so we can probably nail Zieler on for a start. Players frequently used as subs or as replacements for injured players will surely feature too. Even the likes of Wasilewski and even Matty James could feature if Claudio really wants to strip the starting XI. I'd expect something like: ------------------------------Zieler Hernandez------Morgan-------Huth--------Chilwell ---------------------King----------Amartey ------Gray-------------------------------------Schlupp/Musa -------------------------Okazaki ------------------------------Musa/Ulloa  Edit: Hernandez's long throws are a pretty serious threat; if they start Ulloa we should watch out for that. We haven't looked as aerially strong recently as some of our central defensive partnerships over the past decade (Alex/JT comes to mind), although Ulloa hasn't been in great form for over a year now. September 18, 20168 yr I wonder if we could see Conte using a 3-5-2 formation that he was expected to use when he was appointed. It's evident that the current system isn't working as well as we would like, and it's quite clear certain players are simply not performing to the required standard. If the 3-5-2 is tested then we could see a team similar to this: Begovic Ivan-Luiz-Cahill Moses-Fab-Hazard (in a more advanced position)-Chalobah-Alonso Costa-Bats/RLC (if Conte continues experimenting RLC as a striker) Edited September 18, 20168 yr by adineen98
September 18, 20168 yr ---------------------Courtois------------------------- Azpilicueta--Luiz--Terry(if fit)/Iva--Alonso ------Kante----------Fabregas-------Matic-------- -------------------Hazard----------------------- ----------Costa------------Batshuayi----------- Â
September 18, 20168 yr 4-2-4:Â courtois - azpi, luiz, someone, alonso - matic**, kante - moses, batshuayi, costa*, hazard *could do with rlc also **or mikel or chalobah ideally imo we would have had a quick cb alongside luiz (zouma), since i feel that both terry's and cahill's pace is seriously hindering how we line up on the pitch and where we can start our offensive pressure. i've been vocal about how i don't think the future of football involves players who can't run, so i don't think fabregas should play. at his athletic stage he'd be at best a super-sub in every top club we aspire to be in my opinion. i would like to see costa get more support up front and i would like to see hazard higher up the pitch than what he was against liverpool. i also feel that moses is more direct than willian and deserves a start.
