September 25, 20169 yr LMFHO people thinking Zouma at center back will solve our defensive problems Zouma,s first touch is bloody terrible and Liuz wiill never make a centerback he aint got a defensive bone in his body ffs he is coco the clown everybody likes him but you dont pick him in your team

September 25, 20169 yr Hazard is he planning on turnng up this season because i cant remember the last time he got me out of my seat its time we stopped telling this guy he is great and told him to prove it
September 25, 20169 yr Lol at the people wanting Alonso and Luiz out already. Have you watched the games? Luiz is the last person who needs to leave. He has been one of the best players we've had these past couple of games and he can pick a pass. Alonso literally just arrived and was thrown into a sh*tshow last night. He needs a full season to be judged. And as for those calling for Conte's head? Embarrassing... go support another club
September 25, 20169 yr Bring back superdan petrescu Dennis wise Zola desailly le saux and super Frankie lampard I'd add drog but Costa is at least fired. Where's the passion?
September 25, 20169 yr watching Las Palmas vs Real Madrid last night makes me even more depressed, they got a draw with Real Madrid without their 2 first choice CB's and they didn't get the result by simply getting everyone behind the ball, their players are so comfortable in possession, puts a lot of our players to shame, Real Madrid was pressing them in packs and Las Palmas was still able to pass their way up the pitch, and then you look at us, we have players like Cahill, Ivanovic and Matic who dont know what to do with the ball when pressed, it really is pathetic.
September 25, 20169 yr The gaps between defence & midfield without the ball, was an absolute gift to Arsenal yesterday. That is a problem that the manager has to see from the dugout, it needs sorting quickly during the game.

Even City's reserve midfield and forward line is better. Chelsea defence and goalkeeper are better than City's and that's where it comes down to Conte. City have played Kolorav at CB and an ageing Sagna and still get results. Squad depth, yes they are better but starting XI, not much.. The 'better' midfield & forward line you mention consists of ----------------- Fernandinho --------------------- --------------- KDB --------- Silva --------------- - Sterling --------------------------------- Nolito- -------------------- Aguero ------------------------ Compared to ours ---------------------- Kante ------------------------ -------------- Cesc ----------- Hazard -------------- - Willian ------------------------------------- Pedro - ---------------------- Costa -------------------------- I don't see the gulf between the 2 lines up.. do you think if conte was to coach city, those players would perform the way they perform under pep??

September 25, 20169 yr We need a clearout A.S.A.P. The fact we didn't strengthen the back four is telling. We have 'Calamity' Luiz, 'Calamity' Courtois (who can't keep a clean sheet), Zouma out injured, Terry out injured, Bergovic(who is useless) Cahill who plays below par with Luiz partnering him, Dave (past it) Ivanovic (past it) All in all we have big problems that the board should have sorted out in the summer. Add to them Matic and we are all at sea. Conte has an impossible job with these players. We are good going forward but poor at the back. We need a miracle.

Your comparing your best line ups, that isn't Contes best line up or where they play. Citys starting line up is better and they play better football. Sterling looks a different player under Pep and that's what he can do. Conte would have City set up much more defensively. You really think Conte would play Fab, Hazard and Kante in midfield. No chance. Pep only plays 1 DM and they don't concede goals left right and centre.

Totally agree i believe that is what we are doing with Luiz getting hm to do all the passing and this allows are defence to be pressed

That's the point, I always think conte is not using our best XI and not set us up playing the way we know we're capable of.. This tactic flocking hardworking flairless player in midfield and sitting deep isn't what we're supposed to be.. We didn't look good going forward neither we did defensively.. The manager's job is not only picking up the best starting XI but also work them up as a team.. conte didn't even get it right on the former.. you say conte would set up city much defensively? question is why? because he doesn't think pep set up would work? This so called statement about conte adjusting his tactic to the team is just bullsh*t now seems like..

This so called statement about conte adjusting his tactic to the team is just bullsh*t now seems like.. Has anything what has happened at Chelsea made you believe Contrewouldn't set up defensively at City. In my opinion Chelsea have a better defence and keeper than City. Pep doesn't believe in setting up defensively first and having 4 defensive minded players in the midfield. All that comes down to Conte, lack of creativity comes down to Conte and still playing Ivan comes down to Conte.
September 25, 20169 yr Also you would think Conte would try and sort out the set pieces, they have been terrible for a long time now, if your going to play Matic and Ivan at least use the height advantage. How late subs are is also issue, was a big issue against Liverpool. Funnily enough subs have saved this season from being poor so far to nearly a crises.
September 25, 20169 yr We've used and tossed aside the best players and managers in the world, so it's time to admit that, for whatever reason, we've become an unmanageable shambles. The blame has to go upstairs somewhere. Roman has to stay out of the day to day running of the club or do the decent thing and hand over to someone else. I've no doubt Conte is being undermined by the usual suspects, and there is simply no future as things stand.

September 25, 20169 yr Has anyone admitted that Arsenal were better than us? As indeed were Liverpool. We have failed to maintain our top seeding and there has been an erosion of quality for some years now. When do you think we will see a humdinger against Barcelona or Bayern again? Could be a long wait. I don't like criticising players and believe Cahill and Brana get way too much abuse, as do Oscar and to a lesser extent, Willian. Look instead at the likes of lazy Hazard or clock off at 5 Courtois; they're supposed to be world class - my derrière.

The first few matches probably built up expectations too much. It's going to be hard. We can take those two losses but we need to get back on track against Hull. We're still too open with and without the ball. We don't press and we don't sit deep. We need to sort that out quick smart. I think people are just fed up with it all. You would have thought that after the joke of the season we had last season we would have addressed the issues in our squad, we haven't done that though. The only difference between this season and last season is that Costa is scoring goals early and Hazard managed to score his first goals of the season at the start of the season rather than at the end of it. That's it, everything else is pretty much the same. I just can't understand how we have got ourselves into this mess, it's like club is in denial about how bad some of these players have become. September 25, 20169 yr We're in serious need of a defensive revamp, gone from being the best defending team in Europe 2 seasons ago to one of the worst. What at were we thinking passing Cech along, yes courtois is a good keeper but the kid hasn't had a clean sheet at Chelsea in god knows how long. what happened to parking the bus??
September 25, 20169 yr This pisses me off even more. To come outright and say they didn't believe in the manager's game plan and just chose to ignore. You guys don't deserve to wear the shirt.http://metro.co.uk/2016/09/25/chelsea-star-branislav-ivanovic-admits-blues-players-didnt-believe-in-antonio-contes-plan-at-start-of-arsenal-thrashing-6151618/
September 25, 20169 yr That right there is the attitude we need to eradicate from our squad. This whole policy of managers coming and going has harmed us in the past and it still does now. Anyone who saw Italy at the Euro's or Juventus knows that when the players play Conte's way, the team is fearless and relentless in their pursuit of a win. But let's be honest, a lot of our players don't have anywhere near that mentality, far from it. Not sure a few wins against mediocre teams would help us greatly. Fair enough, things have improved on one aspect from last season - in the second half the team's desire pushes through and we obtain points - at least that's what happened in the previous games. Much more work still needs to be done. Personally, I want to see Conte's other side. The one we hear about from his former players - the one where if you don't go along with his ideas and the team, you - as an individual player, regardless of talent or 'price' - will be dropped. The sooner it happens the better. From the start he has been quite accommodating and rightly so - in his system, with some players and his desire to give them confidence by playing them week in, week out. But I hope this will soon change. At the moment we have all the right 'ingredients' to repeat last season's horrorshow. And I think only strong actions will prevent that from happening. After all, he's the man that chose Eder and Giaccherini over Insigne and El Shaarawy because of their tireless work and attitude. I'm sure he'll begin to do the same from now on with Chelsea. And I think Moses might just be one of the candidates for that. At the moment I'm not sure 'tinkering' with something that doesn't really work will be of much help. We haven't even met City, Spurs, United... or even Everton and we're 8th or something. I'm a bit worried. Still, I don't think there's anyone better out there than Conte that can create a proper team spirit and atmosphere in this band of misfits. So let's hope for the best!
