i think this formation is starting to work well because of the personnel. moses, pedro and alonso really help out the defence too. i still think having a better defender than cahill at back would sure us up a lot more; i'm always nervous when he's under pressure.

Alonso has to focus more on Valencia and get some assistance from Matic. We still haven't won it yet, more 45 minutes to play. 

Wouldn't have thought we had that in us after the L'pool and Arsenal matches. Must keep it up as MU are capable of a goal and then the jitters (mine at least) start.

We have to keep this going, can't let United get an early 2nd half goal, we get a third and it's game over, nervous.

they will have to come out though and i'm pretty positive we're faster on the counter. i reckon we'll see martial 2nd half, maybe even mata too.

I get a sense that teams are being caught out by Conte's tactics. Whether this is sustainable or teams will begin to adjust we'll see. But enjoying it at the moment.

Oh shut up Sky, they always have to find something wrong with our performance, especially Souness. Whenever things are going our way he struggles to hold back his anger. I think the ref got the call for Luiz spot on. Luiz was late, no doubt about it, but he didn't deliberately go in to hurt Fellaini, he mistimed it.

There was no need for a tackle like that I feel, especially in the position we are in. If it would of been red, it would of been harsh -- but also understandable. We can't risk these decisions going against us. Need to stay composed and not make mistakes.

I don't think we should sit back we are keeping them contained, need to stop those crosses down our left though, 1 more goal and a clean sheet were equal to the spuds on GD but go above on goals scored if I'm not mistaken.

neville said pre-game that 3-4-3 was always tough to work out. like you say it may not be sustainable considering our defence can be pressurised into mistakes, but so far so good. it will be an interesting 2nd half to see if we can keep it up or start to invite pressure. 

Not sure if that's a red, maybe to the letter of the law as a high studs tackle but Luiz didn't follow through and pulled out as soon as there was contact.

They've stopped a few attacks cynically and avoided a few yellows, Bailly could've been off so it's even, I think the ref does seem to want to keep it a contest.

I can't help but feel our dominance is on the back of much higher work rate and Conte outsmarting Mourinho tactically.

I think we'll win, but expect a much better showing (and likely change in formation) from Man Utd 2nd half
