December 31, 20169 yr Just rewatched the highlights. Apart from a few good crosses, Stoke scored with what I believe were their only two shots on target. We had 11 very good opportunities where we came very close to scoring. On another day this could have easily ended 7-0. They were very lucky to even be in the game by the first time they equalised. I know the two goals we conceded are annoying, but they also show something very interesting about our team. Every time they scored our players weren't bothered at all. The took back the lead quickly and proved how determined they are. The spirit is incredible. On top of that our second and third goals were terrific team-play. I know many people are impressed with Liverpool, but the best team of the league was playing at Stamford Bridge today.

December 31, 20169 yr Congratz guys, another great win from the lads. Conte and the team once again was fantastic. We wasn`t solid in the back, but their first goal was from offside. Peter Crouch was offside when the ball was crossed to him. And it wasn`t even close. His whole body was behind our last defender. Conte also say this in the post interview.
December 31, 20169 yr Six goals is definitely good value for an afternoon's entertainment. We deserved it but kudos to Mark Hughes for having a plan that produced two goals. From early on it was clear that Stoke were working off the second or third ball instead of shooting at Courtois. Quite clever I think but also some valuable lessons for us before the Spurs game.Happy New Year to all.
December 31, 20169 yr What a great day to take my 8yo boy to his first ever game, he loved the whole experience, a real rollercoaster with the perfect ending. Happy New Year!

When I saw him slowly unbutton is shirt with great emotion I thought he was going to reveal a Chelsea tattoo instead we got English beef...more like a plug for a Jamie Oliver sainsbury's commercial
January 1, 20179 yr after watching, the Antonio Conte Chant starts to cloud my mind & I want to possess your minds with this tune as well Antonio Conte Does it better Makes me happy Makes me feel this way.
January 1, 20179 yr I'm not overly worried about the goals we conceded today. It's not everyday you face a freak like Crouch and he played pretty well today. Overall I though we looked good going forward - our touch and movement are the best I've ever seen from a Chelsea team and Costa is leading the line brilliantly. I'm loving what we're doing at the moment - dominating the league without belittling the opposition or creating a "siege mentality" and playing flowing attractive football with pace and variety. Happy New Year everyone!
January 1, 20179 yr I thought even with Eden having a quiet game for him we were very good.Happy new year to you all.
January 2, 20179 yr Great result and hugely entertaining match, despite some tense moments. 2016 started off with so much uncertainty and pessimism, but it's ended superbly and I really hope our resurgence in the second half of the year spills over into the new year. Conte and the playing squad deserve plenty of credit for this turnaround. Not in my wildest dreams would I ever thought we'd be on a 13-match winning streak and counting. I pinched myself seeing Diego's goal again! That resembled something that we used to see from Drogba ten years ago. Willian stepped up when we needed him, especially in light of Pedro being absent from the match. It was very pleasing that despite Hazard being relatively quiet for his standards, we were able to still win this match and have others step up in the process. Tottenham will be a huge test for us, but imagine if we win that game! I'd like to think we learnt our lessons from two years ago when were beaten by them in the New Years Day 2015, and which arguably marked the first cracks in Jose's ultimate downfall despite being victorious in the League Cup and holding firm in the league to secure our fifth title in our club's history that year. Bring on 2017 in what shapes up to be a huge year for the club! Edited January 2, 20179 yr by Jezz
