With Liverpool playing the way they are, we have a great oppurtunity to win the game and take a massive step towards the title. Dont want any of the 11 who will be starting at anfield to be starting against brentford.

Lol, no way he starts Kenedy, Aina, Ivan and Musonda. Im not sure even one of those will start.

I think its likely we see two CBs, a WB, both CMs, and Costa and Hazard rested.

I know that, that is the team I would start not what I think Conte will start

I'm glad you aren't the one picking the team and we'll never have to find out

Thanks for your input and by the looks of your team I am even more glad you are not picking the team!

It's not my team is it? That's the team Conte will play IMO. I'd give that eleven a much better chance of battering Brentford than yours. Don't you think so?

Both teams would comfortably beat them, but with Liverpool coming up on Tuesday players like Moses and Azpi shouldn't be in the starting XI.

I think you could also argue players like Eduardo, Musonda, and Kenedy who haven't played a minute for us this season shouldn't start in an 1 loss elimination tournament against a capable underdog who will view this as the biggest game of their season.

Dave and Moses are probably 2 of the fittest players at the club, no reason they can't play 2 matches in a few days given we have no other fixtures to worry about. And since according to you, the match will be over after 45 minutes they won't have a taxing day anyway

Doesn't matter if they haven't played they have been training and will be ready to play, and fitness isn't the issue with Moses and Azpi, it's the fact both are key to our system and if one gets injured they would be a big miss.

I'm glad we have someone here with the expertise to somehow know 3 players who have yet to play will be ready for this weekend. Is that why you've left out Begovic too, he's so key to our system? This isn't a game of FIFA, there is no reset. Win this, then worry about the next

It doesn't take an expert to know they are ready, Eduardo is practically begging for an opportunity to play, Musonda has been training with the squad for a few weeks and from what I have seen look ready, and with us trying to sign Craig Gordon tells me the stories are true that Begovic wants to leave hence why he isn't in my team, but oh yes it's me who is playing FIFA, not the person who can't see Begovic can't be in the right mind frame to play.

As I said glad you're not picking the team.

question, is Ake cup tied?

No, mate. He is available to play and you think he would. He was not in the Bournemouth team that got embarrassed by Millwall.

Thanks for making my point

Thanks Stats :JC_doubleup:

wasn't sure about it + he played in the Capital One Cup - the FA used to have it when one player participated in either domestic competitions then they were cup tied - glad that has been changed & can't wait to see Ake perform in Blue again

Seems some of you aren't very humble. We shouldn't underestimate Brentford.

Yea, this is not a tie to fool around with, for example making wholesale changes. We saw what happened to Liverpool

Even if this was an FA cup semi, the next match makes it look like a dead rubber. Our priority should be the league and the next game is against one of the best teams in the league at their home.
