That was a tough afternoon of football.  We (Mrs Bloo & I) were in row X and only had one snow flurry hit us but by Christ it was a cold and miserable watch.

We were definitely not at our best but it must've been hell out there for the players - by half time our toes were almost solid and our Bovril didn't thaw them out either.

We didn't play that well and I know some have said that Costa was off the pace, maybe he was a bit, but he got very little service to be fair.

Burnley were well organised with their 4 at the back morphing into a 6 more often than not - virtually all the play was in our final third.  They deserved a point for their solidity and the free kick goal was class.  They are a grubby, physical team and use this to their advantage.  Barton is a cock.  The pitch was cack - the grass looked long and they must have a drainage issue as the ball looked slow across the turf.

We looked a lot better when Fab' came on - would've been nice to see him on earlier.

All in all a decent point under the circumstances.

Burnley need to spend some money on this tatty ground as it is way off the pace for the PL.

Agreed with all that, especially the bloody awful pitch, i noticed the ball was looking like a lump of concrete being kicked round. The only bit i disagree with is the bold bit^, it may have seemed like we were under the kosh, but we had 71% possession and spent most of the time in their half.

Apparently Chelsea sent club officials out to B&Q to buy space heaters for the changing room. Don't know if it's true or not as I heard it from a Burnley fan after the match.

and for very good reasons too, but I doubt it is a fan thing with him. More likely to be something to do with Conte's footballing knowledge and associated skills that place him as manager of one of the best teams in the world. Chelsea FC. KTBFFH

If that's it then I can't see him staying here for long before we start looking for another manager again.

No one is against any fan feeling disappointed if you didn't you are not a Chelsea fan what myself and a few others are saying today even Barcelona would not of won at Burnley today the combination of factors was not conducive for few flowing football. I said before this match that this would be tougher than Liverpool away and so it proved. Their small pitch combined with their work rate and strong tackling compact shape make it a very hard place to go.
 

Let's come to reality bro.
Take note: This is Burnley we are talking about not Barcelona or Real Madrid. We have better players than them. Even a lot of players on our bench and some of our players out on loan will walk straight into that Burnley team starting line up.
Prior to be match am certain Burnley fans and there players weren't certain they will get anything from the game. But when they saw our starting line up which include a Matic who we usually start in matches that we want to be defensively solid, they saw the fear in us. They realized we were even more scared of them than they were of us. So that gave them the confidence to come out and play there usual game. Even after we scored, they weren't scared of attacking us. To make matters worse our front 3 weren't at their best which meant they have to depend on any of our midfielders or defenders to create the perfect chance for them to score but unfortunately Matic wasn't up for it. I saw Luiz make about 2 or 3 attempts to create a chance by playing a grounder pass from his defensive position to the front 3 yet they didn't make any good use of it. Moses even after providing the assist tried to make some crosses into the box, same with Alonso. But the Burnley defence probably have studied our games so they were up for all that.
Don't you think if Cesc had started ahead of Matic, even after conceding the first goal they will be worried about trying to not concede more goals as a result they will have the tough task of man marking Cesc so he won't be able give that final ball to any of our front 3? And when the focus is on Cesc don't you think unlike on Saturday, Hazard, Costa and Pedro will have more freedom to attack when all the focus is not on them alone?

I hope they get relegated next season...not only have the loathsome Ashley Barnes and Barton, but it's one of the grimmest places in the uk and a bar steward to get to and from in a day

Aha!  A misunderstanding in my use of terminology.  I think of 'our final third' as the bit of the pitch furthest from our goal - I always have although I am probably wrong!

Whatever, all the play was at their end of the pitch - shame we didn't capitalise on it.

Anyone read gullits article about Burnley exposing our defensive weaknesses? The f**k is he on about the scored a free kick had 28 percent possession and 2 chances, he know our left is weaker defensively is he just trying to justify having a job? 

Just saw the highlights and am pleased with the point. There will be days like that.

To be honest there are a couple of things that didn't seem to bother people, one is we had red kits in the 70s 80s and 90s and were bought by many and two we used to sing the normal version of you'll never walk alone with all our scarves above our heads in the shed. It's only post Heysel/ Hillsboro that the no red in our kit please has come about

Yes, I read it on the Beeb's website - I did wonder if he actually watched the entire game or just edited highlights.  Normally he is a pretty good analyst but he is away with the fairies in that article.

My god Burnley are getting truck loads of credit for this draw, some even said they now have the blueprint to stop us. Unfortunately, there are days like this in EPL, something we rarely see in other league.

I think we definitely slowed down recently, despite the win against Arsenal. We only play once a week, so fatigue shouldn't be a factor, maybe it's a matter of some players inevitably losing form.

Spot on, there was never a decade that passed that chelsea didn't have a red kit until the 2000's, come to think of it we're probably the only club to have had a blue and a real red kit consistently, think maybe man U had a blue away jersey, personally I couldn't give a toss, a colour is a colour, if the kit looks good it's fine by me. Didn't know the walk alone thing very interesting.
