Still we finished the game having increased our lead at the top.

Didn't exploit the space given to the full backs in the wide areas and we should have been loading the box and attacking the front post.

Still, ten points clear and the title is very much in our hands.

It was a tough place to play but there was something in our playing style towards the last few minutes that I did not appreciate.

1. I know Pedro was our goal scorer and subbing him for Bats is not an attractive idea. But with the weather being like this we need some bigger stronger bodies that can shield the ball because of reason #2

2. Towards the end of the game in order to hurry up covering the distance we were trying long balls and vs a taller and stronger Burnley team that is not a bad idea.

I have said this before and i will say it again. We need a taller and stronger midfielder out there and Matic has not been that for us for 2 seasons now. We are almost getting away with it this season but next season i dont think we will be this lucky.

Matic should be a sub.  I honestly think chalobah is better and deserves more time.  Hopefully fab starts here on out

I agree. Every time i see Chalobah, he looks better than Matic.

chalobah poor against Brentford, it has to be said.

Horrible weather against a horrible side.The ref was weak and allowed too  many bad tackles.Sure we can play better but Burnley will take points off other sides.....ONWARDS AND UPWARDS.

That was poor but the conditions were atrocious and the ref instead of carding the thugs decided talking to them would be the way to go. 

Costa needs to get his head in the game.  He's been off and it's filtering down into the side.  

I thought Hazard played pretty well. Nothing spectacular but not as bad as people on this forum are making his display out to be.

Matic was abysmal but the overrating of Fabregas on this forum is ridiculous.  Pretty sure we'd have been 3 down had we started with him.

A valuable point.  It could have been worse.  We March on.......

What ever happens we'll be playing CL next season. And for that I think we don't have enough quality. I mean that the load on the starting team will be too much. We need some three, four top quality players more to ease the load.

Gotta gove credit were its due, hell of a game from Burnley. They defended very well all game, Heaton was barely tested. Oh well, still likely to be on top by the same amount of points as before the round

Yeah I have to admit Conte has really upped expectations. 

An alright result at Burnley but a disappointing performance. 

Hazard must be getting pissed off with the protection he gets from referees, no terribly harsh tackles on him today but the times he gets tripped up or unfairly knocked off the ball is relentless.

Costa not firing on all cylinders at the moment but hopefully will soon be back to his goal scoring best.

Matic and Moses have a job to do for the team, which they do, however I find them both limited in breaking down teams with quality passes/crosses and general decision making.

Luiz done well today considering he was carrying an injury for about 70 mins, surprised that Conte continued with him chancing doing more damage, we need him back for the run in.

probably a point gained rather than two lost.

let us get this right :

We are resting all week and UCL or Europa fixtures to tire off players.

We went to Burnley who was in Championship last year.

We came back with 1 point when you have Pep , Jose , Klopp & Pochetinho behind us.

What is left ? Matches against Relegation teams and the fight will be bloody , I mean really Blood spilled on the pitch , not literally.

The we will come with more excuses “ Oh yeah they needed the points”  or “ we couldn’t beat them they were defending their lives"

I am one of Hazard's biggest fans and always defend him but second half, he was poor. He turned into what Ozil is like in a lot of matches and only tried if he got the ball and some of his passes were poor. He just did not try at all second half which was disappointing considering the game he had last week. Just looked so disinterested. Context of things I will take a point considering we were not that good and we still have a good lead over our rivals. Apart from one mistake where Luiz gave Gray a shot on goal, thought he was excellent once again. While we have a good lead, these games show that we can't take for granted that the title is already won. We still got a lot more work to put in.

Think some guys on here have it so black and white. Everyone knows a point (especially in them conditions) isnt a bad end result. There are some fans on here being critical because they are disappointed with individual or team performances. This doesnt mean they want Conte sacked, or are not happy with the season so far as others who argue back sarcastically use.

This is the match thread, and therefore people are going to comment on this match soley. If that means Costa (who has been great) has a poor game, then people have the right to say so. Again this doesnt mean they are playing down his performances this season or want him out the team in the next game.

Some fans dont see everything through CFC rose tinted glasses and reflect on what they see from a more neutral position. It doesnt make them any less supportive of the team.

Fair play to Burnley. The effort they put in was immense and they deserved a share of the points. Thought we were excellent up to when they scored but after that, no-one was quite on top of their game. We over passed it and as much as we dominated possession, we didn't trouble the keeper. Think Conte needs to mix things up a bit as the starting 11 and subs have become too predictable. We need Costa to regain his form too - great performances and goals from him were the difference earlier in the season but he's looked out of sorts for about a month now.
