The overreaction here is ridiculous, I see that as a good point gained for us today, one of the hardest games we'll have between now and the end of the season. The conditions were tough and Kevin friend was far too lenient with their incessant fouling, but the negativity is crazy here.

Agreed,. Think some fans are actually been disrespectful to the opposition with their comments. Sure they're nasty, dirty c**ts but they are very good at home. We don't have a right to smash lower rated teams every team we play. We will end this match week at least 8 pls clear, other teams would kill for that right now. Honestly some people need to get some perspective,

So the ones critical of the team on here, you're questioning their integrity as a supporter??

Have a day off.

I have no problem with anyone acknowledging the team had a bad day at the office and analyzing with some respect to the team's achievements and the track record of the players who made it happen  Now go back and look at many comments about individual players and the manager which take that critique well back beyond today's performance .That is what makes me say what I say. Go read ...'always useless,  always a hopeless decision maker, never could pass a ball, doesn't try, must be replaced, hasn't got the balls to make substitutions etc etc' You got a problem with my integrity as a fan of 47 years? Thank you for your concer.n

Don't twist it around. I'm questioning your integrity??

I wouldn't do that about anybody on here, some others though seem to think they have that insight to do so though...

As previously pointed out, it's a match day thread, some things are posted in the heat of the moment, although I will say comments about players usually tend to come from a sustained period of poor play - Matic a very good example.

Some fans are more critical than others, especially on an individual game by game basis, you should probably avoid the match threads if that sort of thing isn't to your taste instead of putting other posters down.

It is not like we conte out ,conte in or sell hazard & costa in the summer.

Logical maths will do

You do not win the opposition if you respect them too much or underestimate them either.

If it looks like straw, it probably is.

Avoid my posts on match day.

All things considered - tough opponent with a great home record, awful weather, etc... a point isn't too bad, but still disappointed. We are just not suited to dominating the possession and trying to break down a team with everyone behind the ball, we struggle to create any real clear cut chances, and people like Costa and Pedro and Hazard and Willian, even when they get into the box, they take far too many touches, trying to find the perfect pass or the perfect angle for the shot, instead of just hitting the damn thing. Maybe Lampard can get on the coaching team and show them how its done.

We will drop more points and lose games in the run in, its inevitable. I'm not sure if any of the chasing pack really have the consistency to catch us, only Man Utd are showing any kind of form, but I think we missed a trick letting our squad weaken in Jan and not bringing in anyone else, especially in the middle of the park. Matic is so poor. His passing is sloppy, he doesn't dominate the midfield at all any more, and watching him today the contrast with Kante was like night and day. Kante was always moving, always looking for the ball. When we attacked he was ahead of Matic, when we defended, he was behind him. Matic just jogged up and down, hiding behind players so as not to receive the ball.

I hope this match will push Conte into starting Fabregas more against lower league oppositions. No need for Matic and Kante all the time.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Ashley Barnes is still a c**t. Didn't even get a booking for elbowing Dave in the face.

it won't get any easier lads, we've got a very good swansea side visiting the bridge next.

Never worried about facing those kind of sides at the Bridge. Plus, we got a bone to pick with them considering how we were robbed last time against them.

my point exatly. Swansea are on fire right now and actually play good football. they already beat liverpool and almost beat man city. If we draw against swansea which is very possible. it will be a 6 point lead. lets not forget that we still have to play the manchester clubs and play westham away.. These points dropped against burnley could be bigger than imagined. we have dropped 4 points in our last 3 games. Draw at home Swansea and trust me you will all understand why we FAKE FANS are angry

You don't get to be 10 points clear with the same 11 players without fatigue creeping in. We did well to come away with a point

If certain players fatigued change the team?

Thats the last excuse we have this season, sorry.

Undone by a brilliant free kick, we all knew going in it would be a tough place to pick up all 3 points from.

no need to Panic - 1 point gained and 10 points clear.

personally don't see why there's a problem getting a point at Turf Moor in the freezing cold, fair play to Burnley their home form is good for a reason.

Struggling to see the straw man argument tbh, I quoted you because you were questioning peoples integrity with your mocking 'fans? :-)' post. That's all.

And I meant probably best not to do so, just because you don't agree with their posts.

Emoticon failure, clearly. Did you note the post  I responded to? I i wanted to attack someone's integrity they would know it.

"Take a day off. don't come here on match day" Doesn't look great when I write it that way, but strip away nuance and you can make any arguement you want. My rhetorical question was not the point i was making. It seemed to be yours in your next response.. And hey, enough already. I am sure we both have far better things to do. Have a good evening and enjoy the fact that your team is the best in the land. It wasn't always so! :)  KTBFFH.

Our next 5 games are Swansea west ham watford stoke and palace...well have it well wrapped up by the end of that stretch

Is of course disappointing to draw when we took the lead, however 5 points from 9 from 3 difficult games is a decent return. A lead of 8 over city (who have the hardest run in)  10 over arsenal and Spurs, 11 Liverpool and 12 over United is not that bad is it?

As for those next 5 games, that needs to be 15 out of 15 points. 3 home games, the two away are tricky again but this is where titles are won and lost and champions find ways to beat side like those 5. Now the boys need to stand up and show, as they have been doing, that they really want this title.

our next 5 league games

Swansea h

west ham a

watford h

stoke a

palace h

Would be good if we could get at least 13 points before our game at home to city. Which I think will be massive if we don't keep at least a 10 point gap.

It's amazing how the synchronised sarcastic cheers from the Burnley fans when they got free kicks turned the ref into some kind of panto hero, he was feeding of it at every opportunity towards the end.
