June 30, 20179 yr So we want Lukaku? Joke. Pathetic. Blame solely lies with our wonderful director of football michael emenalo, who seems to sign who he wants rather than who the manager wants. Its why no manager wants to be at chelsea and why we have had such frequent changes in managers. If emenalo thinks hes so good and buying players he wants then he should be the manager and see how it works for him! Get rid. We dont want Emenalo. We dont want lukaku. Why him when there's so much more talent Mbappe, Lewandowski to name a few. If it wasn't for our crap director of football we cpuld of signed aguero a year before he went city. Same with D. Silva. And now Bernardo Silva. Who the hell is this dude emenalo get rid!!!!!!!
June 30, 20179 yr Some joker has put a Lukaku for sale ad in the Liversh*te Echo...probably be a fee ad as they need their dole money for hair curlers and pyjamas to wear out... Edited June 30, 20179 yr by doctorblue

June 30, 20179 yr Author @undertow i wouldn't say he's THAT bad. But, there is definitely better out there, and especially in the system we play, Lukaku won't suit it. He wants ball to feet. We have more of a 'pass and go' thing going on with our pace on the wings, and currently Costa fits in well and connects with the wingers, not convinced that Lukaku can connect in the same way. If/when Costa leaves, someone in the Lewandowski, Mbappe, Dybala, Griezmann calibre would of been my choice. And i know alot of you guys are thinking we wouldn't be able to pull some of those transfers off but money talks. Deals can and do get done with persistence and a fat wallet. Even when Greizmann was "available" a month ago i was SHOCKED Chelsea weren't challenging United in his signature. Edited June 30, 20179 yr by AshB Tagged wrong member! (New to this site)

Does he ? because from what i was seeing, everything was breaking down with on the ball. Costa's link up play has been dreadful for a while now.

July 1, 20179 yr Why is this thread still around? Don't we have a Lukaku thread already in this very section since May? http://www.theshedend.com/topic/29509-romelu-lukaku/
July 2, 20179 yr To be fair the idea of a striker less formation does sound good to me. Griezmann, Hazard and Pedro exchanging passes in the box sounds amazing, we'd see some great football for sure.
July 3, 20179 yr Matt Law on his Twitter account is saying that Conte has told the board to buy Lukaku at any price even if they have to meet Eversh*te £100m valuation...I say to the Chelsea Board look elsewhere at anything over £70m...!! Edited July 3, 20179 yr by doctorblue
July 3, 20179 yr I wonder if true if Conte is getting concerned we have no signings (except Willy) and is thinking we need something settled so he can start working mentally on which players are going to link up so he is in a better position to make Yes/ No calls when the transfer deadline approaches and you still need positions to be filled.
July 3, 20179 yr There is some kind of silly talk in the telegraph that conte is jumping up and down for Lukaku and Everton are firm that they want 100 mil and marina will try and make them wiggle a bit, penny over 65 and I'm devastated, I never wanted him but for more than 65 goes from fair enough let's see what he can do to what the f have you done to yourself it's not my money so I don't care in that sense but in the sense of what you could have bought for close to 100 mil and in the sense of seeing a chav win 100k on the lotto and spending it all on a bottle of rare vintage wine, in other words painful to watch even if it's not my money.
July 3, 20179 yr Whilst another media outlet claims Conte doesn't want Lukaku and is fuming because he wants Belotti instead and Emanalo wants Lukaku. I hate all media.

July 3, 20179 yr I think it is all done tbh. We are being gentlemen and letting everton spunk their money first. Media don't really have a clue.
