Looking at the deal it works out to a few million more than what we would have paid for Llorente. And Dzeko is a proper player who would legimately challenge Morata for a spot. Great news.

I was looking at big strikers in Europe and Googled his name to see that he's being linked. This is one I can get behind but I bet people are just naming any big striker to us hence Crouch which I refuse to believe.

Another that fits the profile would be Mandzukic, I bet there will be articles on him soon.

With respect to his style of play, 31 really isn’t that old.  He could play at the same level he is this season, for another 2-3 years.

This would be a great signing.  It gives us quality depth in the striking department, and Dzeko is good enough to even send Morata to the bench.  It's the type of signing we need though, someone who is going to actually push our first team to step it up, because right now the first team is basically assured of a starting role because we have nobody challenging them.

I have never been that big a fan, but would much rather him than all the other options right now (Carroll, keeping Bats).

Dzeko would be an absolutely amazing signing, him and Emerson would really make this transfer window a resounding success IMO

on a serious side, he is absolutely the best name we've been connected with. 

Don't let his years fool you. As someone who watched every on of his games since first year in wolfsburg i can tell you that he's better than he ever was. 

This season in roma he is missing class players (assists) like Salah and thats why he's not having a season like the last one where he set a romas most goals in one season record... infrong of players like Batistuta and Totti...

in london, next to hazard, willian, cesc... i think he would be rocking it more than ever. Becouse DEFINETLY he can put one onr two more seasons on a world class stage.

I really like Dzeko, I did since he was at City. He has that aura of class about him, abit like Berbatov I guess. I’d be very happy with him!

They are always selling players, I constantly see FFP as the reason.

After they won bundesliga he went to sheikhsland and earn a lot of money. Perfect timing though, he was in dzekos years when wolffsburg was a champion. Thats saying something I guess

Dzeko reminds a little bit of Tore Andre Flo. Big fella with good feet, and of course good in the air. Just got a bit more pace than Tore.

As I said in the Emerson thread a double deal makes too much sense. So really our board won't do it will they?

Can't see him leaving Roma as number one striker to come here. But he's a better option than others linked to us!

Would be a great signing if it happens. Quality player who has experience in Premier League. I would be surprised if Roma let him go this window. Like us they are still in Champs League and realistically would find it hard to find a replacement before the window closes.i know there is talk of bats going there on loan but he would be cup tied for Europe. Still we can hope...
