Overall an okish performance, but the thing that seems to be the recurring theme is we always seem to let our opponent back into the game.  MOTM for me was Kante ( most important player for us). Moses did well defensively, but going forward its the same story he can't cross and has no end product at all!

Anyway, lets hope we can go on a run from here on.

After a crisis of confidence spell, Morata is beginning to get to grips with this Premier League lark. He was busy, stayed on his feet much more and never gave Maguire and Morgan a moments peace. That flying backheel flick from Fabregas's cross that hit the bar, but was ruled offside anyway, was outstanding. If Kane had done that, the media would have been creaming themselves.

TBF - the BBC ex-pros following the match appreciated that until they realised it was off-side.

Much better performance from Morata, but I still found him frustrating - I don’t think he ran into the box as much as he should have. He jogs around lightly too much for my liking.

Seems to go into hiding too every time we are in the final third. Still a lot of improvements to make, but still better than usual.

Marcos Alonso is 95% of our problems. Slow as kcuf, he runs in a jog style even when he is sprinting. Can be beaten at one on one easily like Mahrez did tonight, can’t cross a decent ball to save his life, so slow to sort out his feet at one on one situations like against Barcelona. Imagine we used to have Ashley Cole there.

yeah, yeah, yeah - New member joins the forum, first set of posts made up of stupid bollocks.  I don't know why the ShedEnd attracts these tits, but, sadly, we do.

Anyway, to address the idiotic rubbish you posted, Alonso took the ball off Mahrez with utmost ease to play the pass that led to our first goal.  Mahrez looked average at best down our left side.  You know very little, or didn't see the match, it would appear.

How is he better? (Alonso) Can never jump into the path of a ball when receiving, or shield when he has it. Worst player since Roman to play continuously in the team

And then this, which is just embarrassing for you.  I don't think you'll last long in here.

Just seen the above posts about Alonso, what the feck! Especially the "Marcos Alonso is 95% of our problems" part. He really f**king isn't! Most of our problems at the moment are Moses, our lack of a midfield and decent Striker, and an out of form Hazard! In fact, how Alosno is still standing after the amount of games he's played I don't know!

If this turns out to be the final it will be the most boring final in years, two defensive coaches neither of which wanting to take a chance and their only chance of silverware.

Unless one team scores early.

It would be a great match up for the press, JM vs Conte for a trophy in Conte's last season with all the earlier shenanigans between the two.

Pfffft......  I'd take Cuadrado over Baka any day!

You might be right - I just remember being astonished at how bad Cuadrado was when he played _ maybe it was because I was actually at the ground so he looked worse in the flesh.  Though Baka did look awful yesterday.

Then you'd be f**ked - totally different positions and skill-set requirements.  Both of them are pants, mind, just pants in different ways.

Ha! Well yes, I wouldn't be playing Cuadrado next to Kante in midfield. But performance wise for Chelsea, Cuadrado just shades it for me. Not that he was any good mind!

I'll get shot down here and I do think Bakayoko had a terrible half of football with the ball. Don't laugh, but off the ball he covers lots of good space, at least it seemed so in the second half when the Leicester midfield owned the pitch (break up play from Kante notwithstanding).

I don't know what it is with this guy, he really should be much better than he is. It's like he's thinking too much or is afraid of making a mistake. And then makes one! Not sure we'll be seeing much more of him this season so we have to hope DD and Barkley get fit quick.

don't forget we have RLC in the wings - this offseason will be a wonderful competition for that spot next to Kante

I didn't think yesterday was his worst game, a couple of misplaced passes, covered a lot of ground a lot of sideways passing and recall a good defensive clearance in the air.

I think while we have injuries we will see more of him for better or worse.

Fabregas is basically knackered so is no good in a two man midfield, Bakayoko gives the ball away and his recovery is very poor for a man approaching his prime. Yesterday I honestly thought he had a shocker, the lack of midfield options is alarming considering we have bought three in the past 12mths.

I agree our midfield options besides Kante are shocking and my conclusion has been for a while that the club were paying lip service in strengthening the club because they had lost faith in Conte.

So this is our position and I would not be surprised to see more Fabregas and Baka swaps until Drinkwater is fit again.

The twerps should have appreciated it whether it was offside or not! It was a masterful bit of skill.

I have to admit when I watched the teams walk onto the pitch, I was in a dream state - Props to The Foxes for making this cup tie one for the ages

I'm guessing they use a programmed mower to do that pitch, amazing to look at, shame they can't do it in the league games.
