City are beating Liverpool at their own game here. The game of intensity and pressing. City look hungrier of the two right now.

Good news is that dippers are only 5 goals away from losing the record for least goals conceded ::ChELSeAFaN::

Haha...I was just thinking the same thing...it's the only bloody record we have left and I don't want to lose it to those tossers

Tbf, if Sihtty weren't so fcuking op last season, our 95 pts record would still stand today ! Our goal scoring record though was due to be beaten at some point. But or defensive record will certainly carry on !!

Any danger that people might question Van Dijk's  - the greatest defender of all time apparently - performance

he's good when the ball's kicked straight at him

only have been two points in it if Liverpool never got that totally fluke goal at Everton.

They have had more breaks than just that one....city should have beaten them at anfield but skied a pen, but for sturridge screamer we would have beaten them too and that's just two big breaks off the top of my head...been many times I've sat there and thought, 'fcuk, everything is going their way'. finally there were signs it's turning around tonight - how that ball didn't cross line in first half and close call for onside in build up to citeh's winner.

As much as seeing citeh retain it will be nauseating, nothing compared to that mob. Hope they collapse

Very glad to see Liverpool lose, but surprised by City at the end just trying to clear desperately. For a team supposed to be good at holding the ball they went to water.

Let this be the beginning of the end for Liverpool's title ambitions.

Commentator had a wee squirt moment in the first five minutes when he flicked a ball out of play rather nonchalantly and several other little moments throughout the game but I thought he was bang average tonight. A couple of iffy clearances when under no pressure and also a couple of looped headers into no mans land in midfield which Tery would have taken down and laid off.

a hell of a good player but f**k me the media are going OTT about him.

game on guys - we're only 10 points off top spot, come on Chelsea!

Should be 8 if we’d bothered to turn up last night!

He's better than anything we currently have but not fit to lace JT's boots

And that silly unbeaten tag is gone.......thank you pep. He surely did well tonight, their whole team did.......Bernado is class, he was f**king everywhere. A creator with an engine, good stuff. I hate pool so much that im loving this city win.........lets see if the media can handle this pool loss.

Heard a bit on the radio earlier today talking about VVD must be up there for the Writers and Players player of the season awards. We are only half way through the season FFS.

Last defender to win either of the two awards was JT 2005.
