for the second game in a row, Liverpool's fabled good fortune has abandoned them: the Stones clearance off the line and tonight Shaquiri's free defied science to stay out. Hopefully this'll go on for weeks....

For a club that haven't won anything in 7 years you would really think that Liverpool would take the FA cup more seriously.

Got what they deserved last night for fielding an entire 2nd string team, especially against Premier League opposition.

Klopp putting all his hopes in a Premier League or Champions League victory? Risky.

Risky, yes but totally understandable.

Posted earlier in FA Cup 4th round thread, no denying that the FA Cup isn't viewed as it once was and it's no wonder clubs are concentrating on PL & CL that these days are seen as more prestigious and of course are far more lucrative.

I always think that fans will take so much more enjoyment out of winning a League Cup or FA Cup over finishing in the top 4 in the league or even making it into the last 16 of the Champions League.

I understand clubs taking other competitions more seriously than others but throwing in the towel completely with a team selection like Klopp did is disappointing as a fan.

So Liverpool can't win the treble now just the double - League and CL.

Also find myself questioning his selection too perhaps a sign despite his ever smiling face that below the surface he is paranoid about City.

Ah but they lost because it was too windy, after the grass being too long at City Klopp has said. So this week the earth beat them at City, the wind beat them at wolves. I would be worried about flames whoever they are playing this weekend.

Did Klopp really moan about the length of the grass?

He wouldn't be the first. Brendan Rodgers complained about the length of the grass at Hearts when Celtic lost there this season.
