So is Arnie, but he has a bit of arrogance and confidence that you need to play up top for one of the big clubs. Plus he great technically and can link up with Hazard.

Arnautovic has an awful attitude which we don't need more of. Have enough already with our Brazilian clique.

Wilson I haven't seen enough of to really know. He's done well this year from all reports and Howe's style would probably translate to ours. Can't help but feel it's a homegrown thing again. We're very thin with Fab and possibly Cahill, Drinkwater and Moses all on the way out.

Sky sports reporting we are willing to pay £50 million, and i got slaughtered for saying our board is incompotent.. if they do pay 50 mill would be an abdolute joke. Say we sell morats for 40m.. add that to the 50 and buy icardi ffs

Don’t worry, I’m with you. We pay 50m for this guy and we have completely lost it.

I think this would be a great move. He is young, English and very talented. Our Home Grown quota will be helped and he has the skill and tenacity to do very well in the league.

He offers something very different to Morata, in that he isn't sh*t.

But he's not young.  Will turn 27 next month.

Not young in a youth squad sense, but certainly towards the younger end of the spectrum. He still potentially has 7-8 years left in his career at top level.

For a player that relies mostly on pace and power, with a history of serious knee injuries, I would be very surprised if he had more than 3 years left at the top level

Callum Wilson with two good knees is not a 50m striker, imo.

There is absolutely no chance in hell of the board splashin out on a 80m+ striker in the summer if they buy wilson for 50.Also imagine its not the greatest for trying to persuade hazard to sign a contract, really cant stress how far back this could set us,

It’s a shame Bournemouth have priced him out, he’s underrated. You’ll be surprised with how good his passing is, and scoring first touch goals. He would be 5x better than what we’ve got.

13 goals last year with Bournemouth, not worthy that 50 million.

He's  not underrated, he's rated exactly as he should be and is playing at the level he warrants.  Whenever I've seen him play he looks distinctly average, and I've never seen anything resembling "good" passing.

Wonderful player in my opinion. We need the home grown quota filled urgently, so double win.

If the asking price is £50m we should just pay it. That's the going rate for young English talent these days.

Do we really need homegrown players though? 

RLC, Christiensen, Ampadu Barkley, plus 17 foreign players is a 21 man squad. 

That is plenty big enough, especially since sarri has been saying the squad is too big all season. Also surely it would be cheaper and easier to replace Cabellero with an English back up keeper to free up another foreign place. 

We also have loads of players out on loan that could also come in and pad out the squad if necessary, all without paying fortunes for England b players.

I guess (idk) we're looking at Wilson because;

 - Giroud's contract is up at the end of the season
 - Tammy's future is still in the balance? (if the rumour mill is anything to go by)
 - it's looking increasingly likely Morata/Batshuayi are heading out on loan? (again, rumour mill)

I understand why we are looking at a striker. 

Just don't think we are in a position were we have to over pay for a second rate one, because he is home grown.
