February 4Feb 4 More bullsh*t club PR. Same brief as last February. Ended up with Gittens, Delap, Garnacho and no experienced CB...They take us for mugs.
February 4Feb 4 This is by no means in defence of BlueCo but who would people want to see bought in this summer?Like as far as I can see the entire football landscape has fallen off a cliff.Which available players actually make us better.Outside of an Estevao esque wonder kid who are we actually attracting to make us better?I’d suggest if Endrick is available he’d be worth a punt as he fits the ‘profile’ other than that it’ll be players we’ve never heard of with, and I quote, ‘Potential’
February 4Feb 4 A few experienced players who will actually improve the team, instead of more "market opportunities" and 17 year olds? I don't feel that's too much to ask.

But they will be "market opportunity" kids to strengthen their portfolio not our team.Given many lap this stuff up why wouldn't they keep up with these briefings, it works. Look at our lame a$$ turn out to protests vs what United and Strasbourg did recently.
February 4Feb 4 If this is a genuine club briefing then it's dumb as hell to tell people how much you've got to spend, as that almost guarantees premium asking prices from other clubs ... "Assets to sell" LOLI won't hold my breath about them getting rid of anyone who should be sold ... but now nervous about who they will actually flog !

These players are definitely out there.
February 5Feb 5 I would definitely buy Murillo if we could. Semenyo would have been an obvious signing but that ship has sailed... For Left wing, Yildiz, Leao or Rashford (I can't believe I'm saying the last one) would be big improvements on Gittens/Garnacho combo.Centre-mid should be find provided Lavia/Essugo ever return. Then I would look for a Demba Ba/Giroud type striker. That goal poacher who loves getting in the box and finding that tiny bit of space to score from close range. It's the opposite to Joao Pedro so would offer us something different up top.

It’ll be 100M+ 150K a week just to start the conversation. And they’ll both have big teams circling.Bremer & Goretzka are both far too old for the BlueCo model, anyone over 25 is unlikely to even be mentioned let alone considered in the boardroom.Yildiz is as likely to be the next Gittens as anything else, not a sure thing and will command a huge transfer fee.If we take our blue tinted glasses off for a minute and suppose that Chelsea also went in for Hincapie & Eze and also offered the same wages & fee, would either of them seriously choose us over Arsenal? Right now in 2025/26. Honestly? And that is unfortunately where we are. Sniping the likes of Cole Palmer from the fringes of the first team at City or scouting Estevao from the slums of Sao Paolo, that’s our best chance of success. Most people we target/sign the majority of the fanbase won’t have heard of.
February 5Feb 5 Murillo isn't even half the player Colwill is. Sign Van Hecke and spend serious money on the wing/striker.

Given we are willing to spend that much on Gittens alone as well as giving Tosin a weekly wage of £150kpw, I'm not worried about matching fees. Goretzka as a fallback option to rotate with Santos and Caicedo would be great given how unreliable Lavia and Essugo are. Not to mention the added physicality and experience. (I don't care about the BlueCo model. You asked "who's out there?" and I am showing you exactly who.) Same applies for Bremer. Yildiz is nothing like Gittens. We literally won a European trophy, qualified for Champions League and became Champions of the World. Of course they would join us.
February 5Feb 5 Still plenty out there that think we are being run quite well and have faith in this ownership to deliver success.

February 5Feb 5 February 1st 2023..... The Roman era was over. BUT the spending continues under Clearlake and increases. .. where did it all go wrong????🐝😂😂."Chelsea smashed the British transfer record, spent more than the other four big leagues combined, and had hits and misses in an incredible window. In total, Chelsea splashed over £323m on eight players in January - that's more than the clubs in the Italian, German, French and Spanish top flights combined.' February 5Feb 5 DID YOU KNOW?UEFA’s statement outlines a four-year monitoring period during which both Chelsea and Aston Villa will be assessed for compliance. For the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons, the terms apply unconditionally and the clubs must meet all agreed requirements regardless of their financial performance.Should either Chelsea or Aston Villa post a financial shortfall in the 2026 fiscal year, the terms of the sanctions would extend into the 2027/28 campaign. Moreover, if the clubs again fail to meet UEFA's financial benchmarks by 2027, the restrictions will carry forward into the 2028/29 season as well.

If we don't then I'd say half those players are not available for us to sign. Other clubs like Man Utd (if they got CL football), Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, will be looking at these. When you are winning and successful you are most attractive to prospective players. We always used to have the options of the better players in Europe, but now we are after slim pickings or super overpriced players from the PL. Wharton and Anderson will end up going for large sums.
