Watching TV and they are previewing Sundays game, the way they are talking about us and the tactics we will implement you would think city were playing Burton Albion in the final, how the mighty have fallen, why o why are we persisting with this clown, the clubs being reactive instead of proactive, a final on Sunday and our most hated rivals on Wednesday who could do double over us for over 50 years and he's still here. If someone says who? Well any caretaker would be better than Sarri

Maybe it's the long con.

We were never going to beat city. So why try? What's the point?

We don't really need to go far in the FA cup, so why bother?

Maybe on Sunday Sarri will shock everyone. We will play a new style, incredible football as city players expect a walkover and a style that is rigid. Rope a dope. Tottenham won't have time to prepare, they'll be blown away too.

We go on and win the Europa, finish 3rd in the league and Sarri gets manager of the year ...

In my opinion it depends on two things initially. , the results from the next 3 games and how long the owner will give him.

Given current form I cannot see us winning the Europa cup, I cannot see us beating City on Sunday, and neither can I see us getting top 4 in the league (I hope I am wrong about all 3)

He needs to change his tactics(but I doubt he will), if he does not change them I fear this could be the end of him

We're one point off a Champions League spot and about to play a cup final.

Come on.

That's the positive view but ignoring the obvious.

We're only 1 point off CL spot due to our good start to season and the fact Utd were shocking under Mourinho. Current form suggests that 1 point will get a lot bigger.

And yes we are in a cup final. Unfortunately it's against a side that recently gubbed us 6-0 and have players queuing up to sit on their bench who would walk into our first 11!!

Don't the fluctuations in this that you describe from this season suggest we should wait until the end of the season before making a judgement rather than a guessed prediction?

I agree with you totally, Based on our current form/tactics I see little to be optimistic about to be honest

Only due to early season form, since Everton 0-0 at home in November, we would below halfway on points I would think, he's been sussed and doesn't have tactical nous how to change it, club must act. Shame because the idea was a lovely thought this Sarri ball stuff, but that was a myth in itself.

We finished 5th in the league. winning one final in a competition that we only had to beat a poor united to win. He spent the the whole year moaning and setting us up so negatively  What's up with all the revisionism.
I haven't forgotten our performances against Tottenham and city last year
I can easily forget our poor performance against City and Tottenham during Conte's time but I will never ever forget losing 4:0 to Bournemouth and losing 6:0 to Man City.

That loss against City showing no fight or ambition what so ever was worse that being spanked 6-0 for me. As for Tottenham, seeing that absolute c**t Dele Alli celebrate right in front of me wasn’t a particularly great moment either.

Sarri is irrelevant.
Conte was not a good manager because Sarri is a bad one now. Conte blew that team up. He forced Costa out, in my opinion he was behind matic leaving too. He was the one pushing for average Serie A players joining us and he made our football so negative it became painful to watch.
Just because Sarri is bad and because he beat united in a one off game doesn't change the fact that Conte was a negative influence on our club in that second season and he had to be fired.
Like seriously, we beat United in a one off game? Did you even watched us against United in Conte's first season?

That probably means you are looking forward to us going for it by playing an attacking game against the best attacking team in the league thereby exposing our vulnerable defence once more? Haha, you don't have to be worried bro, with Sarri in charge we are always to play an attacking game regardless of who the opponent is, you will surely get your wish this weekend. Let's see how many goals we concede this time.

Seeing some interesting whispers about Steve Holland being appointed as interim coach. 3/1 now with the bookies.

I could get behind that. We were never the same once he left for the England role. Good connection to the club and youth team. Could be exactly the circuit breaker we need.

I’m looking forward to us not setting out with a mentality that we’ve already lost so what’s the point.

Huh?

The fa cup final was one game. It happened a few weeks after we lost to Tottenham at home for the first time in 2 decades.

We beat united in a one off game. That's not debatable

Yeah - Would be a sensible appointment for the rest of the season IMO. He knows the squad as well as the younger players and I think would set us up in a way that would get the best out of the squad rather than trying to make the squad fit to a pre-conceived idea. He was a big part of England's decision to shift formations at the World Cup.

But we shall see what happens on Sunday. We might yet win!

I guess you’ve forgotten the embarrassing 3-0 defeat at home against Bournemouth followed by the 4-1 at Watford under Conte. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Conte and didn’t want him to get sacked, but this revisionism is just embarrassing.

I was looking at Pep's first season he lost at least once to the big clubs yet also a 4-0 thumping at Everton. It doesn't seem as bad as us yet just the same surprising.

If Sarri starts to use more of the younger players say against Spurs he might just yet turn this around.

With a transfer window ban coming up we now need a manager who's prepared to work with the youth players and give everybody a fair chance.

Sarri hasn't shown any signs of being that man.

If CHO is stuggling despite putting in decent performances then people like Tammy Abraham and Reece James have no chance under Sarri.

This could make or break us for the foreseeable future and I'd rather somebody like Steve Holland to get us through this period.

Trust me, I didn't forget, but this season is the worst in my memory.

You might be using a bit of hyperbole there. We were nearly in the relegation zone at a couple of stages in Jose's last year. By that measure it's not even our worst year under Roman. This probably borders on AVB territory for me and we sorted that out once we bought back one of our own...
