Roman for sure wanted a strong side out there for the US fans and for this event. He lives in Israel now and has an Israeli citizenship. Je will surely do his best to please both of these countries. USA and Israel have extremely close relations, I would not be surprised if Roman bought a team in USA.

However you try and spin it, it was a ridiculous thing to arrange before our season had finished, and we will now pay the price. If you play any  match friendly or otherwise  (on a sh*t pitch) then  you increase the chances of injury by a considerable rate.

It was f**king stupid, no two ways about it, and now RLC will miss the final and potentially a large chunk of next season.

Roman doesn't organise sh*t. He didn't write the papers to buy Chelsea, doesn't mean he didn't want to buy us. Don't be obtuse. But he wanted this game to happen, that is obvious. It's the only Chelsea match he's attended all season. 

Maybe you aren't a woman hater. Lots of men with daughters view women as inferior. But either way you refer to her gender a lot.

I still marvel at your lack of comprehension.

1)  Rather that just typing in some random misunderstandings of what is going on, try doing some research.  Go back to when this match was first reported.  It was first reported that that match would take place.  It was also reported that there was some acknowledged difficulty in scheduling based on possible commitments for both teams.  The actual date was not chosen or announced until later.

2) I highlighted a particular part of your statement above because, at the time the game and date were announced, we didn't know we would be in the EL final.  We knew it was a possibility.  It was scheduled and the arrangements were all in place before we knew we'd be in the final.  Are you suggesting that all those plans should have just been cancelled when we beat Frankfurt on PK's?

3) I'm not sure what your work situation is , but when the owner of your company who happens to be an extremely wealthy, highly successful and ruthless business person says to an employee "We're doing this event, it's very important to me, make it happen", you do not respond with "that's a bad idea, we may have a game to play 13 days later".  You keep acting as if Roman would not have known we'd possibly have a final.  He knew, and still felt it important enough to get scheduled. 

4) Stop backtracking on your blatant insult of Marina.  One does not type the words "Stupid Russian woman" instead of Marina by accident, and then try to claim it wasn't personal.  You are in control of your own fingers.

 

I just re-scrolled back through the entire thread, and I still see you haven't provided any information that supports your initial assertion that Marina had anything to do with coming up with this idea, or the planning of it.  In fact, it's quite interesting that you first blamed her for conceiving and scheduling this event, and now you want to blame her for not questioning the guy who initiated it.   Do you think before you type this stuff, or do you just let your fingers blast away on the keyboard completely disconnected from your brain?

Noni didn’t I mentioned it once without even a thought in that direction and idiots made a big deal out of it, they are responding until now even although I’m engaging with other people and ignoring them yet they respond to responses not Amer at them purposefully.

That having said yes the wiener organised this but the club has people to advise him on football matters it was a bad move on behalf of the club that’s all I’m saying reason I mentioned marina is she is club director and negotiates all our contracts.

Without dissecting things and going totally off topic, bad move by all responsible, myself and others called it out before and we have seen tte result.

Hopefully we stop trying to please American fans and focus on ourselves in Europe. Send the U18's to play the MLS allstars in the middle of July, they'd likely still smash them and the American fans can bring a pathetic 25k crowd to watch. This game was a waste of everyone's time.

Yes. Of all the teams to play against. Atlanta would have been a guaranteed 70,000+ crowd and a decent playing surface. 

Even from the Boston perspective the timing was stupid.....want to know how to fill only about 30% of a MLS stadiums capacity?  Do a charity match in a time frame where two vastly more popular sports teams in the city will possibly be in the deep stages of their playoffs..... oh and look, they both pretty much were.
