I see The Telegraph are reporting Lampard will have 150 million to spend in January.

In my opinion we wouldn't regret spending all of that on one top class CB and one top class LB.
Then deal with the rest of our issues in the summer.

If we are to use the entire 150m just buy 2 players. These days if you buy quality it is 70-80m a pop. Chilwell and Sancho would be that. Personally don't see us buying either though.

Pukki or Mitrovic would just be another Ba level player, at best.

I know I’m about a week late but show some f**king respect! Maybe if we had a Demba Ba in the team, we could ruin Liverpool’s title hopes again!

0. Having money and the possibility to buy, along with having the vision of what the club needs.

1. Having money but lacking the vision of whom to buy, ending in not buying anyone.

2. Not having the possibility to buy but having a vision for the future.

3. Not having the possibility to buy but not having any clue who you would buy even if you could do it.

4. Having money but not knowing what the club needs though still ending up with buying a player anyway.

5. Not having money.

I just hope we don't end up at number 4 by the end of January.

I honestly thought we would be rampant for players, seeing as we missed the summer out, and platitudes from Frank about unsure if we'll buy, not sure who is around to strengthen the team, again the silence from above is deafening

As of 12:00 GMT, Premier League gross spend in the January transfer window was £45m compared to £120m at the same point last season.

Frank Lampard was also asked if Tammy Abraham’s injury changed his search for replacements or Olivier Giroud staying at the club after being linked with Inter Milan.

The Chelsea boss replied: “The impetus to bring in a striker or players who can get on the end of chances is there and we have to be honest about that.

“Recent games have shown that if we are creating chances that’s one problem, but if you’re creating 20 chances a game then it can be crucial. It doesn’t absolutely change [the situation], but with Tammy being our main source of goals it’s very relevant.

“With Olivier, we are still in the same position. We will keep contact with other clubs and if and when that’s agreed then we will let you know. So he’s still our player on those terms.”

I don't think we have created enough chances, the trouble is defining a chance, i think a good criteria for a chance missed is if i double face palm at the time, if not, it's not a viable chance.

I think Frank is wrongly putting pressure on Tammy pointing out that he’s not scoring enough and that’s why we need someone to do the job. For me the problem is defensive. We can get on top of Arsenal twice, but defensive errors nullify the attacking effort. Of course we could benefit from being more clinical up front, but we only need a striker to rest Tammy. I’d say that we need more goals from the wings and AM. But the real need is a LB with some quality, and a CB with a strong personality to kick some of our players’ arses and strengthen team’s mentality.

I think this is a little complicated, Tammy was missing chances mainly with missed headers though not so much the last couple of matches where I don't think his service has been good.

John Smith said of him in the Championship that he was important to them and scored important goals yet should have scored a lot more, I see the same pattern with us yet he is also our best striker by some margin.

I don't think we are generally creating sufficient good opportunities and need to be more inventive.

I agree left back is an issue yet midfield and attack are not linking well enough to put teams away.

When Frank won't play Giroud even as a sub he appears painfully stubborn.
