Winning the league while in the Europa would mean we need to play a second string in all Europa games imo. Not sure we would do that.

We’ll win it regardless 😉

I actually do think this, though trying to curb my enthusiasm

Where is all this negativity coming from all of a sudden?

1. I have a pessimistic nature.

2. Having watched the last few matches and knowing how we struggle to break teams down, I haven't seen the spirit in our squad needed to fight for the results we want. It may be that we throw it all away in 3 weeks time.

Indeed same for me.

We draw against Leicester, lose the CL final and Liverpool win out.

Maybe, though another 0-1 seems a good chance too.

The problem is that we have a group of players that are such a miss and hit that it is unbelievable. Pulisic can have a great match, then the following game has a stinker. The same for Havertz, he’s great in some games and then a passenger in the following matches. Jorginho, great in the CL and then he plays sh*t against Arsenal and Leicester. The only consistent players I see are Mount and the defenders bar Zouma. Inconsistency is killing our momentum every single time.

Leicester can approach the game this week a little more relaxed as a draw works ok for them. We need the win more so it will be important for us to take our chances and build a lead.If we beat Leicester I think we will make top 4, even though mathematically it will not be confirmed. Any other result and we will be relying on big help from other teams.

Even if we draw, we have better GD and they’d need to beat Spurs if we win at Villa. If we draw on Tuesday and they draw against Spurs while we win at Villa, we will end with the same points and it’s down to GD, which we are on 22 and they are on 21.

I'm not convinced Spuds would do us any favours. If they finish 6th or 7th they enter that new European Conference League that is lower than the Europa League and has them playing games in all the arsehole places of Europe. This one is totally on us, win the two winnable games and we qualify.

We most certainly should not rely on any favours from anyone, but Liverpool winning everything doesn't really look all that nailed-on either. WBA was probably their easiest game of the last three - and they didn't exactly walk it. Both Burnley and CP can ... on their day ... very occasionally 🙂  ... put up a bit of a fight.

If I had to predict how the last two rounds will turn out - I'd go for a lot of dropped points, by everyone, at least expected moments. We'll do something weird like beat Leicester, but then draw with Villa, Liverpool drop points, Leicester ... dunno. Point being - whoever qualifies will not do so having won the last two games.

Interesting tweet from Matt Law who is close to Chelsea. He said that he’s certain that Chelsea’s board will view tomorrow’s game bigger than the FA cup final. Not romantic but the rewards are obvious.

TT said something in his first press conference basically saying he knows who he is working for and the demands are to win. I believe he was told the only expectation was to qualify for next seasons CL, then to build up challenging for major honors next season.
