July 23, 20223 yr This is officially the craziest transfer saga I have ever experienced as a Chelsea fan. Even worse than Dani Alves, Robinho, and Neymar the first time around. Just complete insanity all around.
July 23, 20223 yr Seen both a Spanish and a English Media source claims Kounde has, in the past hour, informed us he is rejecting our offer and is no longer open to the move and he will wait for Barca to make a proposal Sevilla find acceptable. So this saga should be over shortly at least.
July 23, 20223 yr Barca sources briefing their media that they consider the matter closed now as we are out of the running and Sevilla have no one else to sell to, and even if they did, they are convinced Kounde will wait for them.

Us having competition from Europe's top clubs shows that we are in the right direction. We have no control over what the player ultimately decides, I wouldn't blame out transfer strategy. We were previously linked with both Perisic and Bissouma, both of which are better than what we have
July 23, 20223 yr 49 minutes ago, Scott Harris said: The one thing I would criticise is how long it's taking. When Barcelona were wrapping up the signing of Rafinha, we should have been all over Kounde, but we were waiting to see if we could get De Ligt, then when there was no chance of that happening, we focused our attention on Ake. All of this dilly-dallying when we could have just gone for our original target from the start, a player we tried to sign last season. Which is why we will lose out on Gvardiol and by the time we head back to Skriniar the window will be closing

Either way only United are doing a poorer job in the market so far than us, and thar could of course change between now and September 1st.
July 23, 20223 yr If it’s true he travelled with Seville after Xavi made the call, just to buy some time, then we should f**k the c**t off immediately. They are taking the piss out of us this Summer.

We could have easily got ahead of this, the writing was on the wall two weeks ago. Lame.

They might not being doing much but they aren't being taken the pi$$ out of by mediocre players that are being overhyped. Edited July 23, 20223 yr by WhiteWall
July 23, 20223 yr Hey we Got Mourinho'd" Remember when Jose could do this for us. Xavi 1-0 TT. Now how does a novice who has only coached in the Arabian leagues get one over a CL winner. Looks like TT has all the allure of a dentist.

No one remembers all the deals we bottled under Abramovich? I guess everyone needs a scapegoat to deaden the pain. Edited July 23, 20223 yr by PraetorianGuard

Now Barcelona will have to meet Sevilla's asking price and Monchi may even demand the new release clause as he doesn't have to sell. We should move on to alternatives in this case, and definitely stop any outstanding business we might be planning with Barcelona.

It was under Marina/Roman that we failed to bring in same player last summer when no other teams were in for him.
July 23, 20223 yr All done bar the shouting. @Sconnie Blue was right all along and @LongtimerLurker source no longer has the sauce. From now on I will look yo Sonnie for reliable transfer news 🙂

As I mentioned Jose could lure the very best here almost every time. Now a wet behind the ears Xavi has played a key role in us missing a key target.

Monchi is not going to be happy and I hope he takes them to the cleaners.

Hard to know what is true.
July 23, 20223 yr As others have said. If it was happening it would be done by now. Move onto the next target. Can’t imagine Seville are best pleased! This window man, what a load of bollocks. I really hate social media, transfer season never used to be like this

We could have easily handled this properly and killed this early. The rags are loving it.
July 23, 20223 yr I really don't care either way at this point. If we end up getting him then lets get it wrapped up. If not lets not dwell and make sure we get our next target.

I really hate social media, transfer season never used to be like this The problem is the next target knows we are only after him cos the last bloke pied us off. Therefore anything approaching a similar offer why would they come to us. I guess any player we go after now will probably go to Juventus, presumably they need a replacement for De Ligt
July 23, 20223 yr If we don't get Kounde there's no other top quality centre backs avaliable that we can realistically sign. Drop the back 3 and move to a back 4. Focus on 2 new forwards. Offer Arsenal 40m + Pulisic for Jesus during tonights game. Edited July 23, 20223 yr by HazardousChoice

He only emerged after it was clear that De Ligt preferred Bayern.
