Jules Kounde

Featured Replies

Seen both a Spanish and a English Media source claims Kounde has, in the past hour, informed us he is rejecting our offer and is no longer open to the move and he will wait for Barca to make a proposal Sevilla find acceptable.

So this saga should be over shortly at least.

Barca sources briefing their media that they consider the matter closed now as we are out of the running and Sevilla have no one else to sell to, and even if they did, they are convinced Kounde will wait for them.

TBF Arsenal and Spurs are signing mediocre players no one is interested in that's why it is easy. Us having competition from Europe's top clubs shows that we are in the right direction. We have no control over what the player ultimately decides, I wouldn't blame out transfer strategy.

We were previously linked with both Perisic and Bissouma, both of which are better than what we have

The one thing I would criticise is how long it's taking. When Barcelona were wrapping up the signing of Rafinha, we should have been all over Kounde, but we were waiting to see if we could get De Ligt, then when there was no chance of that happening, we focused our attention on Ake. All of this dilly-dallying when we could have just gone for our original target from the start, a player we tried to sign last season.

Which is why we will lose out on Gvardiol and by the time we head back to Skriniar the window will be closing

Maybe it was a mistake to dismiss Marina, maybe it was not. Either way only United are doing a poorer job in the market so far than us, and thar could of course change between now and September 1st.

Chelsea laughing stock yet again. This Boehly fella needs to seriously get with the programme bl00dy quickly cos he is looking like a mug already.

We could have easily got ahead of this, the writing was on the wall two weeks ago.

Lame.

Are they. They might not being doing much but they aren't being taken the pi$$ out of by mediocre players that are being overhyped.

Which ones?

Hilarious to see people blame Tuchel and Boehly here. I guess everyone has short-term memory. No one remembers all the deals we bottled under Abramovich? I guess everyone needs a scapegoat to deaden the pain.

If true then at least he has informed us and we can move on. Now Barcelona will have to meet Sevilla's asking price and Monchi may even demand the new release clause as he doesn't have to sell. We should move on to alternatives in this case, and definitely stop any outstanding business we might be planning with Barcelona.

Exactly. It was under Marina/Roman that we failed to bring in same player last summer when no other teams were in for him.

More of a comparison. As I mentioned Jose could lure the very best here almost every time. Now a wet behind the ears Xavi has played a key role in us missing a key target.

All done bar the shouting. @Sconnie Blue was right all along and @LongtimerLurker source no longer has the sauce.

From now on I will look yo Sonnie for reliable transfer news 🙂

Crazy thing is Barcelona haven't even made a bid for the player with Sevilla yet. This should be fun. Monchi is not going to be happy and I hope he takes them to the cleaners.

A day ago I saw a store saying Tuchel had done exactly the same to talk Kounde into signing for us. Hard to know what is true.

As others have said. If it was happening it would be done by now. Move onto the next target. Can’t imagine Seville are best pleased!

This window man, what a load of bollocks. I really hate social media, transfer season never used to be like this

It was clear over two weeks ago that this player had no intention of signing for us. We could have easily handled this properly and killed this early.

The rags are loving it.

I really don't care either way at this point. If we end up getting him then lets get it wrapped up. If not lets not dwell and make sure we get our next target.

The problem is the next target knows we are only after him cos the last bloke pied us off. Therefore anything approaching a similar offer why would they come to us.

I guess any player we go after now will probably go to Juventus, presumably they need a replacement for De Ligt

That was the way it sort of worked with Koulibaly though. He only emerged after it was clear that De Ligt preferred Bayern.

I thought they upped the price at the last moment didn't they?
