Big clubs get their targets in, we lose out if another is involved despite them being broke and trying to scrape together the cash. We better learn these lessons fast because clubs like Arsenal and Spurs are having great Windows. If only we had the smarts to have got in ahead of them and got Gabriel Jesus and Bissouma. Even without Kounde that is a fantastic window adding Koulibaly, and I guess Sterling too.

The Catalans know perfectly well that they have to talk to Sevilla if they want Jules Koundé, as well as have the money to pay upfront - not instalments, because almost no one trusts Barcelona right now. (@muchodeportecom) And they are not dealing with Leeds now, they are dealing with Monchi, one of the toughest out there.

July 23, 20223 yr Can’t believe we will let Sevilla and Barca do this to us.. years back we almost signed Dani Alves.. Sevilla had announced it too.. before he went to Barca last minute and we ended up with Belotti.. and never solved our RB problem till Azpi and Iva…

Why would we entertain paying this amount of money on a kid that has done fck all and has never shown any ability to be able to play at an elite level.
July 23, 20223 yr If Koundè's side stalls the transfer because he prefers Barca and they are in his head, then we should be aware of that. I think the best chance we have is to put pressure on him to decide quickly, while Barca isn't financially ready. It is in Sevilla's interest too, because if we move away Barca gets an advantage in the negotiations with them, when they are the only interested party. If we are unsuccesful then just move onto the next target.

Same about this Cucurella. We won't even have a look, even though Alonso, Kennedy and Rahnan need ro be shown the door and Chilwell will break again. With the exception of Richarlison I would have been happy with every siging spuds have made

The kids gutless, walk away. I would officially remove our offer and do it publicly to all outlets. Fck em

July 23, 20223 yr Monchi has to be strict on the fee as Bordeaux are due a sell on fee as well. So for both their sakes and Sevillas Kounde won't go cheap.

Us having competition from Europe's top clubs shows that we are in the right direction. We have no control over what the player ultimately decides, I wouldn't blame out transfer strategy.

The one thing I would criticise is how long it's taking. When Barcelona were wrapping up the signing of Rafinha, we should have been all over Kounde, but we were waiting to see if we could get De Ligt, then when there was no chance of that happening, we focused our attention on Ake. All of this dilly-dallying when we could have just gone for our original target from the start, a player we tried to sign last season. Edited July 23, 20223 yr by Scott Harris

While that's largely true Jesus pisses on all our attacking options aside from Sterling from a great height

He would have been a really good option to rotate into the squad when James or Chilwell need a rest or get injured.

We had something similar for filling out cheques and also for producing contracts when I was on the Stock Exchange. You would type in what you want and then stand waiting for it to work through

And, after all the faffing about, here we are again trying to sign a poster boy of the previous board…. ?
