July 24, 20223 yr It's not Barcelona that is the problem here. It's the player(s) and the club for not making ourselves attractive enough. If I were Kounde, I would prob choose Barca as well. Already lives in Spain Better weather Club with Huge pedigree and history that are going all out to get the funds together to buy you. vs A club in disarray with no sporting/ football director A club who have f**ked around for 12 months worrying about the odd 5/10 mill A club that has prioritised signing other CBs ahead of you. If Barca do end up signing him, then they have played a blinder. Even IF we do end up signing him, we still look like mugs.

Find their targets and go in hard. If City want Cucurella they will now just up the fee and get him. Also with West Ham, when we started messing them about over Broja, they made a public show of withdrawing their offer and have gone in heavy fir they guy they want.

Will we still look like mugs then?

I agree to an extent however when barca are tapping all our targets up and cheating using all the scummy techniques to unsettle players and try to turn heads it stinks, Raph was poached from under us although We came in late etc. Esp stinky because barca cannot be doing anything legally, Its all brown paper envelopes at this point!
July 24, 20223 yr I think we're all getting our knickers in a twist. Let's be honest, none of us know how to negotiate tens of millions of dollars. We're all here behind our keyboards saying "if this was me I'd have closed the deal weeks ago". No you wouldn't. If we get the guy we get him and if we were serious we did all we could, it's as simple as that. I'd hate to see any of you with a billion dollars, you'd all rush in and buy two players and pat yourself on the back.

July 24, 20223 yr Just happy that this is coming to a close soon and we can move on to someone else. Who that may be i have no fecking clue. Feck it ditch all the high earners and build a team with the young players already here. 😎👍

July 24, 20223 yr Latest update from Ben Jacobs: One key point being overlooked in this whole Jules Kounde saga is Bordeaux. They take 20% from the sale. That's why Monchi still prefers #CFC's bid. Chelsea have further talks today on formalities around their offer. Barcelona yet to table anything official as of Sunday morning. Sevilla continue to deny anything has been agreed with Barca, formally or verbally. But Barca are in the race, largely due to Xavi. They need to offload to register, & ultimately agree a fee with Sevilla. Barca reliant on both Sevilla & Kounde patience. #CFC, on other hand, exerting pressure. They want things resolved by early next week one way or other, having thought deal was done 48 hours ago. Chelsea haven't given up at all. Lot of noise from Spain because they feel Kounde wants Barca. But Barca must move to satisfy Sevilla. Interesting to see what the offer is. Told Barca think €40-45m with add ons on top may be enough. Still much lower than Chelsea's, although not quite by £25m from what I hear.
July 24, 20223 yr Chelsea have still not agreed on a fee with Sevilla for Jules Kounde. They remain in talks and favourites (as of now) but they can't relax until an offer is accepted. #CFC

All this hot air and anger and frustration, but the club don't have a deal in place yet. There is 1 direction our frustration should be headed, and that is at ourselves.

Let's be fair here various media sources have claimed so many different facts about this deal nobody knows the real truth of what's going on, and even after Kounde joins Barca we probably still won't know the whole truth.
