Why anyone would trust Barca with their finances is beyond me. Add on’s are meaningless if Barca can’t afford them. 

Barca sources confident they will agree a deal with Sevilla son and Kounde will be presented as a Barca player this week.

can we just offer 200 million pounds? 40 up front and 160 million in add ons after 67 CL wins

same chance of getting the money as the barcelona add ons

This is looking increasingly unlikely. What’s frustrating is players like Colwill still can’t get a chance in preseason yet we persist with Sarr. 

If we don't land Kounde we won't land him. I would love to see us using Colwill and Ampadu much more than we were going to.

Lol...they've been talking "only to Chelsea" for more than a week. And as the season opener draws closer, we are in deep sh*t with our defensive options while our attack is crappier than ever.

And we keep on with this bullsh*t,tell Saville and kounde to go do one.

Kounde situation - Chelsea still working on it. Worth remembering that Monchi is a notoriously tough operator and Chelsea thought they had him last year only for the goalposts to move v late. Barca situation not helping this time. Not done but not over, either.

Barcelona and Sevilla have reached an initial agreement on the transfer of Jules Koundé for a fee of €50m fixed + €10m in variables. There is also a preliminary agreement with Kounde for 4 years. Barcelona hopes to close the transfer next week (Diario SPORT)

Not sure Diario sport is trusted or not though.

Looks like it's over then and another one gone to Barcelona.

With salt rubbed into our wounds with our thrashing yesterday by Arsenal and Raphina scoring a worldy on the same day.

I suppose things can only get better from now on...

Let's fking hope so. Bollox has been going on for so long for a short unproven defender it's embarrassing 

I think if we’re all honest, we know he’s going to Barca. There’s no other reason. We already know Barca can’t match the offer and Kounde is clearly wanting them by stalling. He could have just said to Sevilla to accept our deal. 
 

I just hope we can get someone in whos top quality. Not another stop gap.

Should of bought him last year or even earlier this transfer window instead going for Ake or flirting with De Ligt & Kimpembe.

From his point of view he probably felt like he was our 4th choice and we only went back in for him because we couldn't get any of the others over the line.
