Ah you missed my joke in the other thread. There was so much "breaking news" one day I made a mock one.

Catipal, founded and operated by M. Worth and backed by Mod Money Inc. Planned on making the hotels at the stadium in to a cat sanctuary would you believe. Lovely fellas but it proved a bridge to far for them to get the cream together to make the list...

I'll get my coat...

I have no idea. I don't know these people and I don't know what their intentions are, it's all just guess work and buying into media speculation, which is why I find these planned protests about the Ricketts family all a bit cringe.

Yeah this is it, i was the same when Roman bought us and everyone was going tits, i was just like "who tf is that ?"

I haven't got a clue. Everyone is saying why we shouldn't want Ricketts, and now apparently not Broughton, but there's no guarantee any of them will actually be good owners or not.

Exactly my view. We dont know hardly anything about what any of these parties would do with the club. They could continue on the work Roman has done or have us go down the toilet. We just don't know.

Unpopular opinion but it feels like a portion of our fans have have developed a sense of importance because of the super league protests. We don’t really know anything about Ricketts other than their Dad (who isn’t even part of this bid) said some stupid sh*t about Muslims and another member of the family who isn’t involved is a Republican politician, neither of these points should be an issue regarding the people who have bid for the club. I hope Ricketts doesn’t get it because a can’t be bothered with the fan negativity it’s bringing, plus the Cubs are pretty crap.

I’d personally prefer Boehly because of the success he’s had with the Dodgers and to be honest the consortium is saying all of the right things.

So at this point, and with appropriate deference to Sod and Murphy, it looks like Stephen Pagliuca is nailed on as our new owner :-)

The fans are important and they always will be. Developed a sense of importance, what the hell? What did you expect us to do, stand back and do nothing?

Guess what mates, . . . .

they will choose who to hell they want to choose,  and your opinion means nothing.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

I probably should have been clearer, fans are the most important part of football and always will be. I’m talking about the entitled fans mainly driven by people on twitter, most of whom wouldn’t go to the protest anyway but want to be seen as a voice of the fans. They want another super league protest so they can claim it’s their doing. I know this is a minority of fans and twitter isn’t representative of most of the fanbase but it’s something I dislike about modern football.

Everyone is entitled to have a preference and reasons for their preference of course that’s fair enough, but attempting to create a super league style protest over something we aren’t overly informed about just feels forced to me and I worry where we’re going in football with the protests, protest signings? Protest managerial appointments? Protest team choices?
