But it reminds a bit of Pulisic this thing, a really promising player, get injured but we signed him anyway in advance already. I hope Nkunku will be able to stay strong after his injury, he does look much stronger than Pulisic ever has been.

We don’t play with a CAM and if anything he will be shoved wide so Mount can be shoehorned in. Another signing on name vs being carefully scouted.

Who know I mean our squad or let's say first XI might look a lot different next season after the summer transfer window, maybe Nkunku can be an inside-forward that we have been searching for some time now...

Let’s be real. He’ll be hugging the touchline isolated as all our wingers have been under Potter.

November 22, 20223 yr Really positive about this signing. Loved Timo but Nkunku isn't as one dimensional as he was. He's fast, good in tight areas, clinical, creative and has that little bit of magic we've been lacking. Assuming his injury doesn't change his game, this is a good signing. This plus Rice will change our whole dynamic. All we need is another Rb, a box to box to go with Nkunku and Rice and we can cook. I see us in a 4231 with Mount, Nkunku and Sterling playing with a striker (not sure who or someone playing as a false 9 and we can incorporate Havertz, Pulisic etc. Not been his biggest fan of late but fair play to Todd good job.

What god given right does Mount have to not warrant being a bench player? Spending 70m on Nkunku and to not actually play him in his natural position highlights everything wrong with this club.

The club is apparently offering Mount a 7 year contract and signing Nkunku at the same time so... I guess all that is left is to spend 100m on Rice.

He doesn't have a god given right, but he's one of the most talented players in the squad so seems strange to drop him of all people. Especially if he brings the form he has for England back to Chelsea.

Rice, Mount, and Havertz in midfield constantly failing to bring the ball forward. Potter ball. Going to be amusing when Jorginho isn’t here for people to scapegoat.

Double goals and assists last season and you honestly think work rate is all he excels at. You've got Walker and Sterling sat on a podcast talking about him being the most technically gifted player in the England squad behind Foden but yeah all he does is run 😴 Lallana suggests the Blues star could improve any side in the world. “It is no surprise to me having worked with Graham Potter at Brighton that Mount has started every Premier League and Champions League game barring one since he took over at Chelsea in September,” Lallana wrote for The Times. “He implements on the pitch what Southgate wants from his team and he will be doing that at Chelsea too. “For England, Mount is responsible for the pressing triggers because, firstly, he is willing to run and do the dirty side of the game. Secondly, his knowledge of when to do that earns him the implicit trust of his manager. The ability to carry out orders faithfully is vital to the slick functioning of any team. “Sometimes I will hear comments around Mount such as, ‘What does he do?’ Perhaps that is based on judging players solely by goals and assists. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course, but that is complete rubbish in my book. I think he would improve any team in the world.”
November 25, 20223 yr Why are we still going through with the signing when Nkunku will be rusty af coming into the most physically demanding football league in the world?
