He definitely needs a break, Caicedo of early season doesn't go in with a lazy challenge against PSG so high up when we conceded on the counter.

Felt like a lunge a player makes when he cant be bothered chasing back due to fatigue.

More words of player ambition... and its the issue with our recruitment strategy. Players want to win, be at the biggest and best clubs and we're not the biggest or best club anymore. the wheels have com off.

I dont doubt our best players, in a world cup year, are all angling for better contracts or clubs that match their ambition. Not sure we can match their ambition.

So, given what you have outlined, if you were a chelsea player, would you be looking for another club? The players are waking up to the fact theyve been sold a dud project. For us mortals its like buying a home offplan and watching the foundations getting flooded out and not setting before construction starts on the walls, the wonky finish will see the roof fall in as people sleep.

The players generally are making non committal comments to the press that are then being used. They are not idiots, they know the press are w**kers. The Hazard one I have sympathy for, as he had to drag reiterations of those Chelsea squads to wins, as our standout player, playing around some absolute dross at the time. Same for Didier when he was looking outside the club, or at least his agent was, when we were always trying to replace him, whether it be Sheva, or Torres.

Very true, but its a stinking WC year and the merry-go-round will go on, a player has a god tournament and everyone starts sniffing. TBH, not sure its a bad thing, perhaps some do need to go in order, especially if LR remains in charge, to get others in for his brand of football.

Caicedo is probably world class, I think we all see he can be an elite talent, not sure if that will be with us... why? In terms of timelines, im back to feeling like i did in the mid 90's - hoping that we can challenge for cups and honours and keep our best players. Next we'll be signing United cast off's like Harry McGuire a la Mark Hughes era... (he would definietly improve us as well) Imagine if Madrid came for fofana to replace Rudiger and we could get him back on the cheap. I think this is the sort of player we'll attract in the summer and going forward if we dont maintain top 4 and a cup run.

Caicedo has been poor recently. I don't know whether he is coasting a bit with one eye on the World Cup, or perhaps he is fed up with the project. But he hasn't been right in a while. I won't be surprised if he is one of several players who puts in a transfer request at the end of the season.
