Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"

Featured Replies

Chelsea are seeking 2 DM types of midfield players and we have Caicedo, Lavia and Kone on our list.

Moises Caicedo [21] for £80m seems HIGH, especially when Brighton seem to think that £40m is enough to buy Levi Colwill.

With CL football back for them they can easily afford it.

Even at 220mill Rice and Caicedo may well prove better investments than any player we have bought since the takeover.

Really? I would say that Enzo is better than both those lads put together.

He may well be so, hopefully we see that next season.

As things stand though both those players have dominated regularly in the PL.

Not sure if they have enough funds to get both Rice and Caicedo.

As an individual, Stan is worth more money than Todd according to Forbes.

Although it is always interesting to see which club is worth the most. . . .None of them are "poor".
Ownership of English clubs is Mostly Arab and American Oligarchs.

Yup. I would sooner see what Pochettino can do with Ampadu, Chalobah, Casadei,Carney and Santos.

I've never seen anything to suggest he's good enough for the highest level. Honest, hard worker. He seems happy at Spezia who face a play-off against Verona on Sunday to decide who stays up in Serie A and who goes down. If Spezia stay up, offer him to them.

Liverpool just paid £35m for Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton on a five-year contract. Which is half the price of Moises Caicedo.

I just don't see how Moises Caicedo is worth the money.

He is not. They put such prices when we come along cause they believe they can continue to mug us off.

Move on and find a player like Moises as they did for 5mill 2 years ago. Or maybe play Santos who we already own?

We are still recovering from paying [at least] twice as much as he is worth for Cucurella.  Once bitten . . .

Yep, we need to forget about Moises and move on.

I also don't see how they value Caceido at 80m and Colwill at 40m when they have played about the same amount of professional football, most of which has been in the same team.

I get that defenders are cheaper than midfielders but not half price, surely.

Paul Winstanley leading this. Could very well be a Mudryk 2.0 where we match Arsenal's bid but with better terms.

Hopefully their prioritization of Rice gets in the way.

You mean the Mudryk deal where Eggman flew out and sorted it himself.

Would hardly be a surprise. They can offer PL football and seem to be a club on the up, whereas we are a sh*t-show.

Moises badly wanted to join Arsenal by all reports in January.

Until we double his pay with some kind of performance bonus. Although by the time we sort out the FFP mess, he's probably training with Arsenal already. It's a complete mess Boehly got us in, he shouldn't even be playing FM.

I don't think it will happen this time.

He hasn’t agreed terms with any club according to Romano.

Lots of different speculation out there. No sources on this but, imo, Arsenal sign up Rice as well as Moises. They need them to compete again with City and have lots of cash to play with.

Word on the street is that we are unlikely to get both Kone and Caicedo.  But we are likely to get one of them. Not sure how I feel about that.  I think either player is fine, that is to say, I think both players are really good.  I am just hesitant about the price.  I don't think they are worth the prices mentioned.  How is Caicedo worth twice as much as MaCallister? Just don't get it.

I don't know how many people need to be told this. Macalister had a release clause. He's not worth 35m.

It's just seemingly come up repeatedly on here and elsewhere. Obviously he's not 35m!

In today's market? 100% for me. PL proven in a problem position for a lot of teams.
