Just wanted to give a shout-out to Dembele, Raphina, and Kounde who all turned us down to join project xavi. Good luck with europa league my bros.

Don't gloat too soon, with 2 group matches to play, they're not out of it yet.

Inter have to cock up vs Plzen and Barca beat Bayern.

Anythings possible but it's highly unlikely.

Inter lose to Plzen, Barca draw with Bayern, Inter lose to Bayern, Barca beat Plzen. Very unlikely, but so was Real losing at home to Sherrif, or us losing at Zagreb.

Speaking of which we are not qualified yet so little early for us to gloat. We go and don't win at Salzburg and game day 6 becomes a huge banana skin.

Yes, but I think a draw for us at Salzburg could do it. Going into day 6, we'd be on 8, Salzburg and (assuming they beat Zagreb) Milan on 7. A draw for Milan wouldn't take them above us on head to head. A win for Milan would leave Salzburg on 7. A win for Salzburg would leave Milan on 7.

However, if Zagreb win their last two they could still leapfrog us, so a draw in Austria would not guarantee qualification.

Indeed. Only a win makes sure we progress, and in theory mean we top the group unless Zagreb beat Milan.

I have little sympathy for Barca. Kounde is injured anyway. De Jong is a great player but no doubt we couldn't offer him what Barca owe and I read he bought a house in Barca and his partner really likes it there. There is more to a footballers career and life than just taking the highest rated team on offer.

All that said I hope Barca and Man U have fun in the Europa. If we don't qualify from here shame on us.
