I’m more or less in agreement with you. I still rate him as a player but even if he comes back and signs a new contract the same scenario will likely play out next season and I think the SDs know that too.

If we can get €100 million we will definitely take the loss and run.

I said he was excellent and I’d stand by this. He played the game everyone knew it would be whereas too many England players let the game play them.

The Argies would do anything to win that game. I never got that feeling from England.

It's not hate towards the english people, it's a geopolitical thing, argentine and english players have played together many times in many teams long after the war and they always got along just fine, and the same thing happens among regular people as well, i've watch many videos on social media from many different english people, having visited Argentina and having shown appreciation of how they were usually treated.

That aside, know your audience. Not the first time he can’t get out of his own way during an international tournament. The social media posts after are insulting. When others go low you should go high - Enzo’s not capable of that mentality. Immature. Think the clubs probably better off without him - first time I’ve said that.

I suppose we have to hand it to the w**ker, as he is a chelsea player but I cant ever remember him putting in a performance like that in our blue shirt. Hopefully never darkens the club doorstep again...

At this point I think his presence at the club would be toxic. Was bad enough when he openly disrespected the club and fans by announcing he wanted to leave. But his behavior so far at the World Cup will only lead to more ugliness. At the very least if he stays even for the start of the season he cannot have any captaincy (or vice captaincy) role at the club.

I've always respected the odd goal he has scored and the fact he does not get intimaded.

However if a good offer comes in it would be tempting.

Perhaps most importantly he is made it pretty clear that he wants out. He and his agent will keep pushing for a move. It would be in the best interests of the club to move him on this summer.
