Wednesday at 14:105 days Fingers crossed he f*cks off this summer. Sure, he may play a vital part for us next season but then we’ll just be in the same situation next summer again. He’s a problem we don’t need. Get rid of him.

Is he a £100m player who simply won't fit every club or system, or is he a £25m player that the rest of football has somehow massively overvalued? For the record, I'm firmly in the first camp. I can absolutely see Enzo being a difficult player to fit into certain systems, and I actually think that's the case with Argentina as well.
Wednesday at 18:295 days I think the issues with the optics on Enzo here are mainly two fold. The price tag, he isn’t in the Top 20 midfielders in the Prem but IS in the Top 5 most expensive, that leads to a lot of negativity straight away. I expect my 105M CM to be able to do X,Y & Z week in, week out. We’ve been absolutely spoiled with CM’s at this club over the last 30 years, some of the all time greats in fact. Lamps, Fabregas, Kante, Maka, Essien, go further back and you have Wilkins, Wise, Gullit & RDM. The simple fact is, Enzo is probably somewhere between Ramires & Jorginho on that list. Which is a perfectly OK but limited player.I’m personally non-plussed by him, I’d be happy if he was in the squad, splitting minutes with Santos tactically based on the opponent, but I also wouldn’t build a team around him and have him as an ‘untouchable’ as some would.

Should never have spent £107m on Enzo. He's simply not in that bracket of footballer. Never will be.Personally I would sell Enzo for whatever we can get. if it is a loss, so be it. He's simply not a player you want to build a team/club around, as has been demonstrated for the last 4 seasons.

That's a pretty big exaggeration of what I actually wrote. There's a middle ground between "worth every penny of £107m" and "basically KDH with a bigger reputation."I've never argued Enzo was worth exactly £107m. I've argued that the way the game values him is clearly much closer to the first category than the second.Whether we overpaid is a different discussion entirely. I think we overpaid for Caicedo too, by the way.

RM openly stated their like of Fernandez but said that they needed to move some midfielders first. I think that was a clear invite to BlueCo, to come up with some form of trade. Clearly we need all the cash we can get and then blow smoke up Barco's arse as if he is the next big thing.

Clearly we need all the cash we can get and then blow smoke up Barco's arse as if he is the next big thing. They never said this. Not then, not now and not ever. This entire scenario is a fantasy cooked up by Fernandez's hapless agent (Javier Pastore) who has been feeding the desperate social media mob, and endorsed by the club because they saw Fernandez as a golden goose that could absolve them of their failed spending.Virtually all the media 'talk' about this originates from either Fabrizio Romano or similar personalities on Twitter, quoting an uncredited source. It is plain as day they have been fed by Pastore in the hopes of engineering a move.4 minutes ago, Sexyfootball said:I'm surprised one of Tchouameni and Valverde hasn't moved on after their training ground bust up.Still don't believe RM are interested in Enzo. He doesn't get in their best XI just for starters ...If you believe the media talk then the issue is Mourinho wants Tchouameni to stay, but Valverde doesn't want to go. In terms of price and fit, Tchouameni is going to have more suitors. I can see one of them going to Bayern or PSG in a part-swap deal for Olise or Vitinha, though.Fernandez doesn't fit at Real Madrid. The role they need him to play is one he doesn't want to play (DM/deep-lying playmaker). The role he wants to play is taken by Bellingham, Valverde and Guler.

Jose probably said no to his signing as a condition to his signing. Hoping Atletico find the money... I hope any club finds 80 million for him and the club learn the lesson that anything over 20 milion is a pure gamble and that if we are to replicate Brightons success we should also follow their spending in the transfer windows.

IMO, he's neither creative nor decisive enough around the box for that role... at least not at this level. In fact, one of the concerns you hear from Argentina is that the national team misses the earlier version of Enzo—the one who controlled games from deeper areas—rather than the more advanced, semi-CAM role he’s often played recently.

Sunday at 07:551 day Thought Enzo was superb against Switzerland last night, running the midfield and pulling all the strings in attack.Just imagine him alongside Bellingham and behind Mbappe and Vini JrCheque book out Mr Perez !😎
Sunday at 08:451 day I thought he was about the least influential of the Argentinian midfield and was rightly hooked. He has done very little in this World Cup in what has been a decidedly, at least on paper, easy run to the semi finals. Only one semi tough game against Egypt.
