If we don't get that money by July 30 then tell him he's not going for any amount of money and he needs to mentally prepare himself for a season with us. He can throw all his toys out the pram if he wants, but I fully expect that if he gets clear direction from us on what will happen, he will suck it up. He did that for Benfica (eventually). Appreciate Madrid setting their stall out clearly. He has to think now is a move to another PL club what he wants, I can't believe it is. I'd be very happy to get the money and see him go, but he needs a proper replacement and if this drags on into the season we aren't getting a good replacement.

Don't pay much attention to Twitter ITKs but in this case it is clear almost all the social media talk is agent-driven on Enzo's side, pushing for suitors. You can tell by that fact that any information about the potential fee or the club's position is intensely detailed whereas any reported interest is vague and speculative. If the reported clubs are interested it must be contingent on him having a good WC. Which is unlikely.@bisright1 was right. This whole thing is driven by Javier Pastore.Real Madrid releasing a statement that they categorically don't want Enzo Fernandez is both embarassing and unsurprising. The only way he leaves is via City or PSG now, if Real went in hard for one of Vitinha or Rayan Cherki.
Friday at 10:082 days I'm happy for him to stay, I think he'll do well under Alonso, but Pastore can f**k off. If I were Enzo I'd bin that twat off, he's been pushing to move Enzo along so he can get a fat agent fee and instead he's made him look like a mug.
Friday at 10:352 days I do incidentally love Madrid's nonsense statement about good relations with us. Madrid absolutely only care about good relations if it benefits them. The moment they want one of our players, they'll play all the dirty tricks they can.
Friday at 10:412 days Madrid made a similar statement about Ollise and Bayern, so this seems to be a new PR initiative but this one certainly reads different, more of a hot girl rejecting some loser who’s interested in her. Whereas the Ollise one, was more a panic that Bayern would blacklist Madrid in future, so we best do them a favour.

In a world where Elliot Anderson who only runs and passes 5 metres right and left goes for 130M, surely we can't just be taken for fools and let players leave for clown amounts. Add to that Mateus Fernandes, who was not even called up to the Portugal NT, went for 85M. The guy was left behind Samu Costa of Mallorca, a club that was relegated to the Spanish 2nd league this season.I mean he either finds a buyer at 120M, or stays here and fights for his place. The club should be ruthless in these situations and show players they have no power over them.1 hour ago, petre ispirescu said:I know we've been poor on all levels for the past years, but that would mean we would turn into even bigger buffoons. Won’t be surprised if he decides to go on strike to force a move away, anywhere that will pay him £300k/w wages. I still expect Pastore to question the valuation if the club isn’t willing to pay him like a £120m player.

But he is tied to a long contract and Chelsea can hurt him way more more by not playing him if he acts like an asshole. These situations usually end up with an apology video if nothing can be done by the end of the transfer window. If we were in a better position, I would have swapped him for Julian Alvarez in a blink, but unfortunately the state we are in currently hardly allows us to have a look at the very best players.
Friday at 11:182 days Cant remember Real doing this before about player, have they been caught doing something against the rules and our lot have told them to behave maybe?I know this new mob of owners are bellends, but if they start fighting our causes then they will go up in my estimation...
Friday at 11:202 days Author Push comes to shove hopefully Alonso is intelligent enough to make a balanced side with Enzo vs shoehorning him in.
Friday at 13:382 days I never thought he was a JM player. This was all driven by his agent.Where does Enzo fit if it’s going to be 3-4-2-1? Doesn’t have the engine or physicality to play in the 4 or the skill set to be one of the 2.Disappointing news for me.

Friday at 15:232 days Club made the fatal mistake of posting a video of all his Chelsea goals and now the whole world is aware that in 3 and a half seasons he's scored all of 5 or 6 quality goals, 6 penalties and the rest are headers or tap ins in the 6 yard area many into an empty net. A poor return for half the fee and wages paid, let alone all of it, and especially for someone given a free role in attacking midfield as they've made him the poster boy of the (failing) project. I really hope we aren't going to be stuck with him.
Friday at 15:382 days Now it’s being reported by the Athletic that he will stay at Chelsea if there is evidence they will be title challengers this year.I want him gone even more now. This fool was part of the squad that caused us to finish 10th and now he’s demanding evidence as if he was an innocent bystander season. Either Enzo is a fool or he needs to fire his agent and pr team cause they aren’t doing any favours for him
Friday at 15:452 days Not seen Real Madrid put out a statement like that before. Either we have told them we will report them for tapping up, or they really were never interested and its his agent and the media pushing a big fat lie. Enzo and his team bluffed their way to this point, but Real Madrid just aren't interested. Enzo and his agent look pretty stupid right now.

Friday at 22:371 day Lots of questions after the Madrid statement.I’d still sell him for £120 million to a PL club and maybe £80 million with another 20 million in add ons to a European club.If he stays then I think Alonso goes with 4 at the back. The statement itself reeks of Chelsea involvement. If he stays then Santos is 100% getting sold I reckon. If Alonso plays his 3 at the back where does Enzo play? The only place he might fit is in the left sided 10 but we already have better (much) options. He’d already gone in my head and the prospect of him now staying causes more questions than answers. Alonso probably feels the same.

In four years of watching Fernandez, have you seen him deliver any performance worth his price tag? We are stuck with him... It is going to become a major headache for the club
