Why though? He can't cross, can't dribble, touch is all over the place, no evidence to suggest he can beat a fullback. Jackson's problem isn't where he plays on the pitch, his problem is that he just isn't a very good footballer.

I think he has pace and would be very direct cutting in from the left side

Once Noni goes netto will be right side as the youngster will need time and Maresca has already said that pretty much

I’m not to crazy on Gittens his stats are not that great plus he drifts in and out of games so I think Jackson could be a option with his pace and I believe his work rate is very good

Not saying first choice but there will be games where we need cover or to rest players

I don’t see us that strong on the left side currently

Pace means nothing if you haven't got the quality to go alongside it.

I would play Neto or Pedro there before even considering playing Jackson there.

He simply can't get past another player.. Not even as a striker, he doesn't know how.

Neto is the option when teams are compacting the midfield and we need someone to stretch the wings. Palmer is the option if we want overloads on the wings with the RB bombing forward.

The game isn't about who plays where anymore, it's about who does what in a given situation.

Joao Pedro/Gittens/Neto is going to play left before Jackson if it was up to me.

I think that could actually be his best position. Maybe a left sided attacker in 4-2-2-2 with Delap or Pedro. His finishing lets him down too often.

Jackson has been playing like sh*t lately, no doubt, but I happen to think he's not as bad as his current form may suggest. And tbh, I haven't seen anything from Delap yet to convince me he's any better.

Going after a player who's in bad form, but still young enough to turn things around is very moneyball'esque.... not crazy about it. Ship him elsewhere if we can't use him.

I think Jackson’s days are numbered. Because of UEFA rules I think him and Noni will go. They will probably be sold for profit and the calculator brigade will announce great business except the fact that these players will be sold for non football related reasons and we have had to suffer them trying to learn their trade in our first team for 2 years.

I don’t care about good business, good football and good footballers please. COYB.

There are footballing reasons for these two to be sold but if we turned a decent profit on either of them it would be sound business. Its not a given that this is possible unless Utd or Saudi come into the bidding.

I think Noni could be given another year but both Neto and Estavoe are probably ahead of him right now.

Unfortunately the business side of football has become a part of football and more often than not the money follows the talent. Meaning good football and good players means good business.

P.s I know there are footballing reasons for them to be sold, they should really be the only reasons but am fully aware of the financial aspect of the game and sometimes offers come in that you can’t refuse. This isn’t that and wouldn’t be an issue if we didn’t have a bomb squad that could fill the shed.

If Clearlake are able to turn a profit on this clown, then they should be given statues outside the Shed end, and this forum should be renamed in their honour.

Good job we beat Forrest otherwise we might be selling other first teamers to get us out of the financial corner we have painted ourselves into.

We could be talking Caicedo or Palmer. Don’t we have to sell players that were registered in Europe last season??

Our bomb squad which so far nobody is touching with a barge poll or the academy cant help us here apparently.🙄
