How much better were transfer windows when a signing would be announced on deadline day though, now you hear about it weeks before from Romano and the others.

If Jackson is the answer, then you are asking the wrong question. If your argument is that Jackson is (was) the only or best striker we had - then change the system to play without a striker. Play an additional CB for all I care - just not him.

Anyway, lots easier now to name an individual with Delap on board. I will be gutted if Jacko's here for another season though, I did hope that he might metamorphosis into a decent striker, but apart from anything else, his attitude stinks. .

We shouldn’t sell Jackson. He’s abit foolish but he can score goals and is useful. We’ve spent two years developing, let’s see what the finished product is like.

He’s frustrating but he does well so far. He shouldn’t have been the only striker at the club, it was a daft decision.

With Delap and Pedro at the club, he fight for us place and also come in and out when needed. We needed competition and we’ve finally got it

If we hsve the option to sell him thst means we've had a reasonable offer for him. If so we should bite their hand off, and make sure we write in a 'never buy back clause'

I don't think he is as bad as @nonotnowjim thinks he is but that is a level of inadequacy that even De Lucas didn't reach. However he is not remotely equipped to lead the line at a top level of football and has already proved he has no mental capacity to cope with the pressure of having competition without reacting to it by doing something stupid.

I think if we can get a good offer for Jackson we should accept, with Joao Pedro coming in I don't see a place for Jackson in the team. For me, he isn't good enough and I can't see him getting much better than he is now so if somebody wants to chuck us £40m+ for him I'd take it.

Jackson is a genius. His red card made us end second in the group and ending up with battling Al Hilal, Fluminense and Palmeiras for a spot in the finale, instead the likes of PSG, Bayern. Real Madrid, Juventus and Dortmund..

A number of websites, admittedly i have no idea as to there reliability, are reporting that Jackson (and Madueke) are "almost certain" to leave Chelsea this summer.
