June 21, 20251 yr These thing are always better after you've slept on them and look at the situation with a more balanced view. But having slept on it, the view is Jackson is still a useless f**ker and I'll be happy not to see him start a game for us again.
June 21, 20251 yr We didn't lose that game because Jackson is a twat. We lost it because our whole team was crap, particularly the defence. Hopefully the last time our idiot of a manager starts with defensive liabilities in both full back positions. Very lucky for our defenders that Jackson will attract all the ire from the fanbase.

June 21, 20251 yr One game ban unless the FIFA Disciplinary committee review it and decide to extend it. 5 game ban would be nice, as that would cover all the bases in the highly unlikely event that we reach the Final.Of course it being "FIFA" I guess they are as open to bribes as anyone is likely to be ... let's get it done LOL.
June 21, 20251 yr His apology is laughable about it wasn’t intentional you can clearly see it went for the man as he was wound up and angry he didn’t start.
June 21, 20251 yr I seem to remember Conor Gallagher being sent off twice in quick succession. It focused his approach and he went on to become one of our best performers. Don't worry Jim, with these two bans, AFCON and probably an injury or two he'll hardly be eligible to play anyway.
June 21, 20251 yr Ok, this made me smile. I'll not hate on a player for not being good enough, he doesn't pick the team, but his ill-discipline has let us down twice in four games and makes him a liability.
June 21, 20251 yr The worst part about the whole thing is how you can trust this imbecile not to f**k up in the future. First Newcastle and now this. He's clearly having some mental problems and needs professional help.I still think there's a talent there but the lack of self-control has become too much of an issue and has a massive negative effect on the team.
June 21, 20251 yr Usually as players get older, they mature, but Jackson isn't maturing at all. Ever since he joined, he's been fiery, picking up needless yellow card after needless yellow card. He also tends to sulk when he doesn't get his way. Now he is so frustrated that he is getting himself sent off. It's not acceptable. He's not a Rooney, Ramos or Vieira, being so good that you can forgive the bad temper here and there, he's painfully bad in the majority of the games he plays. Fans won't tolerate it. June 21, 20251 yr To be fair and not defending Jackson at all, but I thought the whole team looked way too riled up right from the beginning. Caicedo went screaming at Jorginho's face within 15 minutes, there were some pretty avoidable fouls early-in and Delap had bust ups with one particular CB all the time while on the pitch. Weirdly, Neto was the one who looked calm throughout the game and he's the one usually a little bit mad. It's one thing to be concentrated and playing hard, but the way we were playing I was sure we'd get one sent off (was praying Caicedo didn't foul anymore) and Jackson proved I should've made a bet on that. Not sure if the "away" atmosphere had a part on it, or PSG losing earlier made them "play properly"... maybe Enzo Fernandez told them that brazilians are c**ts and should get what they deserve or anything like that lol.

Oh wait - nope....he has already tried that.
June 21, 20251 yr Been really patient with him, and thought we looked worse when he was injured last year. However, I’m done with this experiment - he’s 24 now. Misses too many chances, always offside. The red cards are a disgrace. Beyond that, watching him being subbed in Atlanta was embarrassing - he couldn’t have left the pitch and slower, with any less enthusiasm. Actually wondering if he’s a bit of a bad apple now, and I don’t have any patience for that type of behavior.

The fact remains, if Jackson is the answer, you are asking the wrong question.

The fact remains, if Jackson is the answer, you are asking the wrong question.Proven by actual data to result in worse performance for the team in the PL. Jackson Starts in the PL : P28 W15 D8 L5 Pts 53 Goals For 51 ; so an average of 1.9 points per game and 1.8 goals scored per gameJackson doesn't start : P10 W5 D 1 L4 Pts 16 Goals For 13 ; so an average of 1.6 points per game and 1.3 goals scored per gameSo what UB said basically. Jackson was the only choice up top last season if we wanted to maximise our chances of scoring goals and taking points. Is he frustrating to watch ? Absolutely.Does he get offside a lot ? Yes indeedDoes he miss a lot of sitters ? Ticks that box tooDiscipline problems ? YepImmaturity ? DittoIn spite of all this, did we do better with him in the team ? Demonstrably yes, as per above. And that's why he got picked by Maresca.Does Maresca want a better striker ?Pretty sure the honest answer would be yes Is Delap that player ? We'll see ... and I certainly hope so as I doubt BlueCo are buying anyone else !

We can only have ONE player, you wouldn't commit yourself to a player, just flung out random names . I repeatedly asked you which one you would play instead of Jackson, not ONCE could you name him . The question wasn't wrong, you just wouldn't answer it Jim.
June 22, 20251 yr I hate this data stuff, it doesn't take into account anything other than some numbers.Who were the games against, what kind if run were we on, how many games had we played in and around them, how many games had the opposition played, what was our team like, what was the opposition team like, how many missing through injuries, what competition, home/away, how involved was he, how many mistakes, what was his movement like, what Just putting numbers completely ignored the many nuances around them, its statistics used to prove any old bo**ocks. The eye test is he is detrimental to our players in almost every game, his runs are garbage, Delap plays twice and both times his runs were immediately 100 times better. Then his attitude which is frankly a disgrace at best, totally unprofessional and moronic.
June 22, 20251 yr I'm not surprised by the data, tbh. I can accept he was the 'best' (make that, least bad) choice for us at CF for much of the season, it's just the other options tended to be worse. He can do some good stuff sometimes, such as the assist for Pedro in the previous match. It's a shame that Guiu was unavailable for much of it, I think we suffered from that, and Nkunku basically stopped trying after he failed to get his transfer in January after looking kind of decent against a bunch of minnows in the Mickey Mouse league. However, the recent sendings off show that we cannot even rely on Jackson to stay on the pitch when selected anymore, so now that we have an alternative in Delap (and Guiu being fit again), there should be no place for him in the team.
